Yea!!!!! I just figured out how to post a new topic on this board and couldn't be happier. I found this site yesterday and thanks to you guys and gals I was able to call my dealer and ask about the recall for the ball joints. Of course he knew nothing about it but within 10 minutes he had ordered the parts and tools needed and told me he would be back to me the minute they come in. Of course being from MN I haven't even taken the girl out of storage yet so I surely can wait a couple of weeks. It looks like I have found a new and informative sight. Thanks to all.

Jim:

From one Minnesotan to another - welcome! This is the BEST source for all things Prowler. I got my 2002 Inca Gold last June and thse fine folks have saved my thousands of dollars and HUGE headaches.

What color did you get and from where? Any mods? Best advice is ceramic brake pads (front only!) and mud flaps.

Let me know when you're going to be out and about...we can cruise together.

I'm getting my Kat out of hibernation on Friday....

Kevin

Kevin, thanks for the response. I have the Mohalland edition (Blue) 2001. I got my car from Brookdale Chrysler. I really am enjoying it and can't wait to take her out. Maybe next weekend I will take it out of storage. I too have put mud flaps on. That was the first thing I did. Tell me about the rason for ceramic brakepads? I hadn't heard anything about them. Of course I justfound this site too. My car is stock and expect to keep it that way. The only thing I hae thought about is getting the airpatrol to control the noise when driving with the top down. Do you have an airpatrol on your car. How many miles on yours? I have about 4200 and have had her for 2 years. If you cruise up this way let me know and I will do the same if headed your way. My wife and I like to cruise the county roads at sunset and have been out in the new prague area and abouts.

Have a good Spring,

Jim

Jimbred, the ceramic pads on the front (only) cuts down the amount of brake dust that collects on the rims and also the paint around the wheels on the fenders and body. I would say it cuts more than 90 % of the dust. You need Raybestos and they cost about $ 70-75 at most part stores. Very simple to install.
The dust is corrosive besides being totally unsightly. The rims have enough problems without the brake dust. It is probably either the number one or two mod that you should do. You already did the mud flaps which is the other top choice.
I'm with you, my car is staying totally stock. (except for the mods)
Oh yeah, welcome aboard.
