I am worried! Called the local dealer today and they had no idea what I was talking about. I had to give them the recall number and explain that they needed new parts and a special tool. Silence. "Well you guys know about these things before we do." Anyone else had this type of response from their dealer? My only reservation about buying a MOPAR was the reputation of poor quality and shoddy service - hope it doesn't come true.

All they have to do is type in your VIN into the computer and it will tell them what needs to be done. I think they are a little slow or pulling your chain.

Dale - my experience has been there are dealers with good service and poor service with most any brand of vehicle. The dealership and Prowler Tech I now use in Louisville is top notch. Good luck in finding someone compotent in Lexington.

Mine does have the tools or parts yet. He had to call me back to look up the info. you think they would know well before most people.

I stopped by a dealer yesterday and ask if they had the tools. He had to go look up the number for the recall and then checked with the parts department to see if they had the parts. They had both the tools and the parts and mine is scheduled to have them replaced on the 18th.

Maybe small dealer but still should have computer link to get info they need

My dealer fixed mine without my having the recall in hand. I could have had it fixed the day after I called but I could not get the car to him that day. Called on Tuesday fixed on Thursday.

I spoke to my dealer on Monday. He went in and checked the recall on the computer and ordered the parts and tools that day. I will get it fixed as soon as they come in.

blubyu...your dealer should have absolutely known about the recall at this point. Even if not, he should have checked the computer. Be wary of them....if they can't even perform that simple task.

I know my Prowler will be the first one my dealer has worked on, but the service manager has gone to great lengths to put me at ease....So I appreciate his effort, and am hoping for the best when I take it in.

I called my dealer in White plains, N.Y. as soon as I heard about the recall. The service manager called me back right away and ordered parts for me that day even though I hadn't recieved recall notice yet. Parts manager called me the next day to confirm order. Service called me yesterday that parts were in and scheduled me for next wednesday when prowler tech has light schedule so that he can give my cat full attention. I feel confident that they will do a great job at this dealership. I'll let you know.

Dealers in Canada also claiming to have no information on recall. Chrysler Canada although finally acknowledging that there was a recall coming up said it may not be for 2 - 3 months or so. Meanwhile South of the border Cats are already having recall work done!!??

I called a few Local dealers they didn't have a Prowler Tech. I was referred to a dealership 45 minutes away. I called they said they were expecting the parts in a week. So i made an appointment for tommorrow the 11th at 8:00. I called today to check if parts were in and sure enough they said yes they were. So lets see what happens tommorrow? The Service manager said it would take no more than 2 Hrs. We'll see!

Chrysler rates this job at 1.3 hours. Mine took 2.5 hours. This was his first one and did not rush. Could easily take less that 2 hours if they have done one before.

I had my Ball Joints reaplaced on 4/8/2003 by Massey-Yardley in Hobe Sound, FL. They replaced them NO question asked by a Prowler Cert. mechanic "Prowler Jim".
