Alan I have these on a streetrod, mine are plastic and they just push on BUT most people use silicone. These also come in metal.Put a screw driver behind cover and twist but be gentle |

Bob Goetz had them, I think. Darcy (Kat Addict) was also selling a set to cover the smaller bolts. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-09-2003 at 10:18 PM |

Alan, Check the post below. I believe these are covers you are referring to. I have them on my car and they should have been put on hand tight. I have the type that screw on. Don't use any vice grips and or pliers to remove, they will scar them.Try a strap wrench, Bob mentions that tool and how he had to take some off one time. Good luck. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000872.html Dan G. This message has been edited by RBADKAT on 04-10-2003 at 02:31 AM |

Badcat is right. Use a strap wrench to remove. I have them on my cat. Also do use the loctite when installing them. And then only tighten finger tight. |
