being an employee at a Chrysler Dealership Im really sorry to hear some of the reports of problems some of your are haveing at the dealers, so far we have done 4 cars and have appointments for three more next week and plan on doing two at the tech session on May 10th so everyone can watch to see how it is done, my only problem so far is I didnt have our parts department order enough center caps and they are now on back order even one of mine broke and had the now famous Hot Glue treatment.

Good luck to all

question for you Neal......if you're taking everything apart, are you doing an alignment after assembly and tires are back on the car? I haven't had a chance to drive mine a whole lot, other than from the dealership to home. It felt like I had a flat....pulled from one side to the other. Definitely not the same handling. I don't want to be paranoid but I don't know what to look for. Mine is the first car they've done. I have a call into the shop but haven't heard from them yet. Thanks for your help.

I also noticed my old ball joints did hot have that much grease. Have no clue what the norm would be or how long the grease would last.

I still have my old ball joints so if anyone wants some more pics of other angles I can do so.

Later...

Chrysler says you don't need an alignment after this recall is done.you might want to take your prowler back to the dealer Debbie if car doesn't drive correct,or meet up with another prowler owner and compare the handling.dealers are having a hard time with this recall.one prowler owner stated that they hammered his ball joints out.to me this is not acceptable.that ball joint that Dan has posted has some life left in it have not found one bone dry yet,i have completed 7 now and more are coming.when you pick up your cars after this recall check is out before you hit the freeway,do some slow swerving back and forth just like Nascar listen for any popping or scraping,or any noise.
