Took Prowler into local Chrysler dealer for recall work...(ordered parts last week)...took a couple of hours (also did lube, oil, radiator flush)...When completed, dealer noticed that the steering wheel was not level/straight when wheels were pointed straight forward...determined that an alignment was needed...their alignment equipment could not do the Prowler (reason?) so had it done at a neighboring alignment shop...
Dealer said that their experience with cars in general is that when steering parts are replaced, sometimes an alignment is needed and sometimes everything goes back just right and an alignment is not needed...
For those of you who are familiar with such work, does that make sense? (seems believeable to me...) This dealer has always been very good with all of our Chrysler products so I have always had reason to trust them...
Left car there for some paint work at their body shop so I have not inspected car for damage (knuckles, arms, rims, etc.)...will get car on 4/22 and will check then...
p.s. a Mulholland Blue Kat was there for service...never saw it before...(NorCal Sonoma County area...)...dealer said that whenever they service Prowlers, Vipers, and anything else 'special', they always leave cars in locked, windowless, enclosed service bays with keys locked away for security and 'invisibility'...
