I asked the Master Prowler tech. if the ball joints had been redesigned. He said, that the only thing he saw that was different, was that a washer had been added. He said that two rubber parts now squeeze down against this washer. He could see no difference in the ball joint itself. The job took about two hours and there was no damage to the lower arms or the center caps. The alignment also was not changed.

My car was completed this morning. No damage to center caps or A-arms. Also took about two hours.

Yeah, but were your upper ball joints checked for overtorquing?

The upper ball joints were checked. I took a copy of the thread with me and stood there while he checked. They were fine. They were not over torqued.

Had the recall done this morning. NO scratches or any other damage. Uppers and lowers were torqued properly, and no wear noted on the knuckles. Front shocks were leaking, so two were ordered. Whole process took 3 hours.
