Just food for thought. When having the ball joints installed, the tech noticed the lower control arm was scored and damaged in the "ball joint bore." Ordered a new control arm AND it had the old style ball joint which he of course replaced. Since this seems to be a safety hazard, I am concerned that DC has not recalled or repaired the replacement control arms. If someone is in need of a control arm in the future, be advised that you could be getting one with a faulty ball joint. I am not so sure that a few years out , DC would be inclined to honor an old recall on a replacement part. Could someone get Chryslers take on this? Are they planning on fixing this problem?
