Hi Folks,

I know that most of you in the US have already gone through this, but as you know the ball joint recall is only now happening in Canada. I remember reading posts about the upper control arm being over torqued during manufacture (95 lbs. instead of 65 lbs.). My question is how have you folks addressed this issue? Did they re-torque to correct lbs. pressure, did they replace, or did they do nothing and tell you to go away?

Will be taking vehicle in soon for ball joints and this seems like the perfect time to address this issue.

Sorry if this is old news, I did try the search feature.

Thanks!!!

Go here and print each page. http://www.prowlerexcitement.com/BallJointRecall/ServiceInstructions/Page001.htm The C-Clamp looking tool is the special too that they need to perform the work. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE THIS TOOL! There is also retaining clips on the ball joint boot that you should tell them to remove prior to pressing out the joint as this makes it much easier to remove and less likely damage will occur to your arms. This procedure is detailed in these threads as well. You might want to take some close up pics of your arms, knuckles, rims, and fenders before you go. Its advisable to find a dealer that will allow you to watch. Good Luck and share your results.

Thanks idive,

Will post results. Was given 3 local Dealer's to call, none have parts or tools. I think it may be awhile.
