I just purchased my 2001 prowler from a guy in Texas and he did not have it done because he did not feel that there were any good deaerships close to where he lived. When I took delivery on the car it had only 730 miles on it and I felt that I would wait for a while till Ihad maybe 10,000 on it before I took it in for the ball joint recall. After just driving it for a few days I seemed to notice some vibration from the front end if I hit any bumps in the road. (Here in Denver that is about 10 a block). I decided to go ahead and take it in since I had heard that the Lithia Centennial Chrysler Dealer on Arapahoe Road had a good mechanic for Prowlers.
After having it done (nothing torn up or scraped and took about an hour and a half) I noticed it drove and handled better and there was no vibration any more. I would suggest all have it done because of the low mileage on mine and it still eeded them.
