I contacted several dealers via email to find one in my "neighborhood" of central Virginia who had completed the ball joint recall. Hartman Motors replied immediatley and indicated that their trained Prowler tech had completed the recall on two vehicles.

I called them and scheduled an appointment - no problem. I called back a later day and reconfirmed - again, no problem.

I arrived promptly for my appointment. The technician completed the job in just over 2 hours and I was on my way. There was NO damage to the front suspension A-arms. The wheel center caps (which break very easily if not removed with care) were not broken or damaged.

The waiting room was very large, cooled, with complimentary snacks... a very professional deal!

Their Prowler tech has now completed three Prowler ball joint recalls and the 3rd recall was executed perfectly!!

One more thing... I drove an hour to go to this dealer and I would definitely do it again.

That is good to know. I had mine done at Schelor in Christiansburg, VA. I had to leave it because they did not have the parts, even though I had an appoitment. I had to call to find out that it was not going to be done that day. Told me "I was just about to call you" even though my car had been thereover 6 hours. Two days later got a call that it was ready, then another call an hour or so later that it was not quite ready, they were repairing some damage that they caused, and they would call me back. I went there about an hour later having not heard from them. Saw my cat sitting outside so I went to look for the damage. I inspected all the suspension and could not find anything. Then this kid who works there comes out to take it back into the garage and asks if it is my car. Apparently when they were done with the recall work, which seemingly was done very well, they let this kid park it out in the parking lot and he smashed the nose into a curb stop. I was not so happy, but their body shop did an excelent job fixing it, apparently the underside was really ripped up. They also put 7 miles on the car and readjusted the mirrors for driving and the radio. The work seemed very good, but the service - not so sure I want to go back.

Also got a new center cap from them under warranty, and when it cam in they wanted me to make an appointment? I told the lady that I would not make an appointment to pick up a center cap. I went to the parts department and spent over 30 minutes trying to get the center cap. The clamed that they had to do all work installing parts that are replaced under warranty. Finally got the piece, I think it just took the parts manager coming back from lunch. He was very friendly and easy to work with.
