The tool is FINALLY in at our local dealer!

I have appointment tomorrow for the recall work to be done.
The Prowler/Viper tech has not done one. I told him that several of you guys have done the work and that some pixs/comments/pointers have been posted. He is not one of these kind of "know-it-all" types. He has asked me to get any info I can to assist him, be it written or even a telephone number of techs who are experienced at this job.

I think I remember a thread(s) explaining in detail the process, but wasn't able to find it.

PLEASE, PLEASE advise me as to this thread and the number of qualified tech(s) experienced in this recall.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

After my above post I found Laddie Roussel's post of 4/22/03. That one is great any others I should get?

Do a search for posts on this by cmblockhus. He did some at his place during an "open house" kinda deal. Many pics of it were taken. There's another thread stating to remove the ring clips holding the boot on BEFORE removing the ball joint. This makes it much easier, faster, and minimizes chances for any damage. Make sure he is aware that the upper ball joint torque specs were revised to 65 ft lbs from 95 ft lbs. Good luck.

AC - I can see why!

Wish I could say the tool was a sledge hammer instead of a tac hammer!

Try as I might, I just can't slide one past Sasquatch. He is just too sharp, and that is how he landed the job of head janitor at the K M. lol.
Randy, don't take it personal. Mike K makes fun of everyone. lol

Ed:

Take it personal; heck no, I take it as a complement!

I figure if I'm catching the grief some other poor soul with thin skin is safe for the time being.
