Well, I got my recall finally done today at Conway Motors in Baldwin N.Y. One hubcap broken and the service manager says it was broken before he took the wheel off--out of warranty so he can't do anything about it. That's all BS as I'm the one that cleans the wheels and the caps weren't shaking when I waxed them. This one all but fell off when I checked it out after the work was done. One tab missing so I cant even repair it. On the repair order it was noted that the tabs were broken. I argued that they broke upon removal --wasted breath. The ball joint install went fine with no damage and the ones taken out had no problems.

I am so sorry to hear about the Broken cap.
I should have mentioned that I took mine off
before I took Kat in. They asked why, told them that I didn't want to go through the " you broke'm I broke'm
finger pointing routine". They told be that the Kat before mine had one broken and they replaced. Had I left them on they were going to remove them while I was there to make sure of status.
Glad that they did no damage to the A arms. That would be hard to repair.
Many safe mile.

Al - glad the ball joint work came out ok. Lethia's orange had the recall work done with the previous owner, and when he went in to pick it up,,,surprise, both caps broken. They said they were already broken by the owner (caps never removed and with 800 miles on it at the time). They were generous,,,,they paid for one and charged him $72.00 for the other one. Gheezzz.
