An addendum to this week's poll about car polish. What do you use to keep your tires shiny and new. Spray or Gel? What manufacturer. Why? |

Tire dressings: brighest shine - vinyl guard - doesn't last long. durable shine - Meguiars new gel - but not the ultra shine of the above product. I use a 1 inch foam painting brush to apply. ------------------ This message has been edited by PhxSuncat on 11-27-2000 at 10:00 PM |

I'm sold on either the medium or high gloss Meguiars tire dressing. They're right when they claim it holds up. It loses a little bit of gloss each wash but overall it's a very good product. |

Incase any of you are laughing at Gary's post, don't. To regain that new car smell inside, put a little dab of brake fluid on a rag and wipe your brake and accelerator pedal. Fluid interacts with rubber to bring out that original rubber smell that a new car has. ------------------ |

Just be careful not to get brake fluid on any painted surface. It will eat up paint in a hurry. |
