Can someone tell me the measurements and hole sizes they used in making their own top-link and bottom-link? What kind of hardware too? Thanks! ------------------ PROWLEN.... John (-: |

Prowlen, the top brace is 18 inches long and the holes are about 16 1/2 inches apart. Take out one top bolt from the bumper. That is the size hole that you need to drill. You can get longer bolts at any auto parts store. Autozone has the "GOOD" ones behind the counter. Tell them you need them for motor mounts and they will give you the hardened bolts. They are about 40 cents each. Drill one hole in the bar and insert the bolt as if you were going to finish the job. Put a short pencil, like a golf pencil thru the other bumper mounting hole and mark the rod or tube. THEN drill the second hole in the tube. Every car is not EXACTLY the same and it will make it much simpler to have it spaced properly. I did not put on a bottom brace yet so I do not know how long the bar needs to be. I can't remember what size the bolt hole was exactly. It is not readily available or I would get it for you. I think it is a 5/16 hole. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 10-23-2001 at 02:58 AM |

Check this out! Front end brace, not a new idea but a lot better looking them most! Solid polished aluminum with machined holes, inscribed " DC " (Direct Connection?) No, D.C. Sports! One and one half inch wide, one half inch thick. Solid on one end, clearance cut to clear the frame, spiracle rod on the other end for adjustment for exact fit.
