Today while driving along Rt19 north in Pittsburgh. I came across a wrecked 2001 Chrysler Prowler Blue #703665. The car was from NY. It is for sale for $24,500. The front end is shot, and it needs a frame. Just Jack |

Jack: Did you see the Woodward that was at Laurel Chrysler two years ago? Is it as bad as that one was? |

Worse, the 1 @ Laurel had an upper control arm ripped off. They changed the frame because they didn't know what else to do to repair it. The frame on this one is twisted, swayed and ripped. The l/f bumper was torn off,all the control arms are bent or broken. It need a frame amd most of a front end. Does anybody know this car? It has NY registration. JJ |

The car is for sale at a place called HUB CAP HAVEN. Rt 19 N. Wexford, PA. It you want the number let me know, i'll get it. The car has 6K miles. I think 24K is way too much. This guy bought it for salage and is looking to make a fast buck. JJ |

quote: It's very easy why they don't classify it as totaled. If totaled, the dealer or place fixing your car would get nothing. An old trick is to lowball the amount of damage and have the insurance company start paying. Once they start, you can then keep antying up the costs to repair till it would have been cheaper to just buy two new Prowlers. once into the fixing costs, most insurance companies will just keep paying. I once had a Mazda RX-7 that if the repair costs were $12K or more the car would have been totaled. The bill was for only $5K. I looked at it and said, "Yeah that fixes it if you don't want the hood fixed and you forget about the front wheels being ripped apart". They adjusted the bill and it now was hovering around $10K (big difference). Once into repairs, they noticed the transmission was shot and a few other things bringing the tally to about $18K. New ones at that time were around $17-19K...... ------------------ Driving a car is just transportation, |
