Haven't talked to Dean at Prowler Pro in a couple months but I'm betting his patent on the gears finally went into effect. Give Dean a call or I think you can order his gears from Bob at Real Rod. ------------------ |

Yepper, toooo bad Tony offered us a fair deal at $895 and still was making a very fair profit. Wonder way its has taken 3 years to patent, maybe the same gears are used elsewhere, who knows. JMO Thanks Tony while it lasted, you're a good man for a canuck, lol... |

What's lol supposed to mean? Dean invested his time and money for development and tooling over 4 years ago and was making a profit, and that's bad? Bringing the price down without the development costs I'm sure was easy. In my opinion many of the aftermarket parts for our cars are priced high. But when you have such a limited market and the same development costs as those products for cars with 100's of thousands of customers the price will be higher. Anyway, currently only Prowler Pro has the original, proven gears (Patent Pending) in stock. Give Dean a call 970-260-2411. ------------------ |

How is it possible to get a patent on a set of gears. Different as they may be, it's not a revolution in powertrain development. It's simply a different ratio and beefed up components.I always thought the idea had to be more then just a redesign of an existing item: for example a completly different way to transfer power other then gears. Understand I'm not against it, more power to him, and I will get my set this year. Maybe that's why I never patented anything. ------------------ |
