Ken sent me a copy of his window sticker. It is much different than mine. His lists his engine twice and the transmission three times. The prices are the same.

On the left side, Ihave none of the entries starting with the bumpers front painted.

My 99 Black Cat label is also the same, but like yours Ed, I only have the first 4 items listed on Exterior Features!

CJ - The One and Only
1999 Black - PPROWLR 2002 Deep Candy Red - CJPROWLN

Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course!

This car may have been in a minor accident and the company paid for damages themselves.

Interesting thread.

Folks,

He who trusts a CarFax gets what he deserves.

CarFax can (and has) been tricked plenty of times.

You don't need to own a business to fix the car yourself or just pay to have someone fix it. If not reported to insurance, CarFax is oblivious.

Also, you buy a car with 500 miles on the OD, then you disconnect the OD and put 20,000 more miles on it, then reconnect the OD and drive it for 1000 miles more.
Now you sell the car. Guess what? CarFax recognizes that 1500 miles is greater the 500 so they have no problem with the mileage (although it really is 21500 now)

I never use CarFax. If I'm serious about a car, I hire a local mechanic (to where the car is) and have them give it a total lookover. They can look at things like cylinder pressure and stuff that a CarFax doesn't even begin to touch. Well worth the $150.
