i just drove my new prowler home....and everything about being a prowler owner became clear.... i was warned about the never ending smiles, the looks and stares... the whole nine yards.it was all true !!! times 10. I had never driven one before this morning, had only seen 3 in my life...i actually paid for this one without driving it....and yea, i was nervous, a little scared but got over it very quickly when i turned the key. thanks to all you replied to the " should I buy a prowler? " discussion because it was those words that convinced my sweatheart to give me the go ahead. a million thanks !!! smilin jim |

Congratulations Jim!!! We all new that the smiles would be never-ending. The good part about owning a cat in addition to all the reasons you listed above, is sharing a common interest with ALL the fantastic people on this site. I swear that there isn't a problem associated with a Prowler that they haven't seen before. Once again Jim...WELCOME. Come back often. Brian Have a great weekend everyone!!! |

CONGRATULATIONS! Now that you own, just a word about driving it. (Actually, parking it, in case you haven't heard already.) When you park, stay well away from the parking blocks or you'll get the standard nose scrape. It takes time to get used to where the nose is. You might notice, that when parked next to someone else, you are looking in their back seat windows when your nose is even with the front of their car. Don't back too far into a space either or you'll ruin your tranny cooler. Bob Goetz @ Real Rod sells nice, reasonably priced cooler covers to help prevent cooler damage as well. Enjoy your new ride and have a great weekend (like I really have to tell you to do THAT)! |

thanks for the tip...i will have to practice my parking in an empty parking lot till i get good.... i back into a spot cause i'm scared of the dreaded nose scrape... when i get out i'm still only half in, cause i'm fearfull of the trany cooler issue. i'm a wreck already ! i don't know what i'm going to do when i stay in a hotel and can't see the kat...i would probably get more sleep if i stayed in the car over night. |

Jimscool.... ...I have driven low cars for decades.....it just gets to be a habit to NOT pull in or back in close to ANYTHING.....I usually park away from the crowd and take all the space I want....little tip I learned years ago....when parking Prowlers, you are probably close enough to the curb with your front wheels when your drivers window is even with the back door of the car next to you....remember, the Kat has a short tail....Don't let it worries about your Kat ruin your fun, it will get dirty, chipped and maybe even dinged from use....I have had 8 Prowlers and the one I had the most fun with and the best memories was the one that I drove the wheels off of...lotsa miles, a few chips, road rash and a cracked nose from a high speed encounter with a real cat.... ....another tip...get mudflaps ASAP....THEN, don't BACK UP over any curbs etc....the flap can get caught between the tire and curb and will pull the fender around the tire....does quite a bit of damage...not trying to scare you out of driving it....just watch bumps/holes and curbs......and smile every mile you drive it.....don't sweat the small stuff, just have fun.... |

Jim Congratulations on your purchase. The first time I drove mine was after I purchased it. Just curious did you buy a U.S. or a Canadian car and if a U.S. and you get daytime running lights installed please post as how to do it as there are a few of us that would like to have this option. And have fun driving, Steve |
