I did a search on it but all the photos seem to be gone (getting the little white boxes with red X's in them). Would Mike Krehel have saved them in some sort of archives if they were deleted from the server?

Email me the link to the pic and I'll get it up. In the meantime...

Buck & Naked - I like the the color combo you have chosen. If you go the porthole look,,,replace the side marker light completely with the first porthole. JMO

Before buying our orange cat,,,I was looking at another silver cat and painting the top half with a GM blue metallic,,,from a '64 Corvette color.

If this first one doesn't work, let me know - I've gotten a bunch of spam emails lately that include links that will definitely help you get it up

Apparently Rebman's nic was "Silver Flame Kat" if you need to search for any other posts with photos. I genuinely appreciate your help

Thanks

I believe I know the exact color you speak of - a buddy of mine some years ago had a pristine, all original blue 66 vette convertible with white leather, a 4 speed, posi, and knock off wheels. If it's the blue I'm thinking of, it would look great over silver. Good call.

If I remember correctly, the window sticker on the car was just barely over $3,500.

As they say, those were the days...

Are you thinking of doing something like this.
This is one of a KIND......
I don't recall the owners name but he goes to a lot of the So Cal cruises that Larry Lord puts on.
Hope they don't mind me posting, one of the nicest I have seen.

It looks like when Silver Flame Kat left, he took ALL his pictures with him. I couldda sworn I copied a couple of them, but I sure can't find them if I did. Sorry.

Here's some flames done by my oldest daughter's boyfriend in Virginia, Mark Long. http://www.marklongcycles.com/
I like the flames, but not the stark white nose.

whoops, posted on the wrong thread. While I'm here, I prefer the real deal, not the stick-ons, but of course, you lose the removal option.

I like the Purple/Sliver or Purple/Cream combo best. You're spot to make the second color a brighter color, don't do Purple and Black. More importantly..don't add stick on flames!!

I think a chromed factory grill would tie in the nose clip better than the TGF?

Don't forget about the interior. You need to tie the second color to interior somehow. If you don't, the two tone WILL look like an after thought.

Good luck..keep us posted on your progress,

JWD and Chromer.

I like your car. I'm in agreement with you on the dark/light issue. I think two darker colors wouldn't accomplish what I'm trying to do.

I have some plans for the interior. While I haven't come to any conclusions about what, if anything, I might do with the seats, I have an idea for the dash and the TGF door panel inserts I think will tie it all together. When I have a minute I'll throw a mockup of the dash together and post it so you guys can tell me what you think.

This is what I'm planning for the dash. Same with the door inserts. Gonna bring the two tone theme and the red (I'm leaning towards red anyway) pinstripe from the graphics on the outside into the interior.

Friggin' typos.

I really like this combo as well! We orange owners sure do think alike.

Personally I prefer the completely stock look, just like the picture of the 97 model at the top of this thread in front of the miniature golf course at the theme park in Branson, Missouri that was taken at the First Annual Branson ViperFest by Kingman "WingKing" Hitz. Nice picture by the way...

I like the vent cutouts!
What if you use a clear sidemarker and color it with paint and nightshades tint with an orange bulb. Then only use 2 cutouts instead of 3

Something similar to this:

versus this:

Just a thought.
