Considering the few numbers produced, I Can't beleive there is still a Woodward, a '97, and five Candy's still out there?? Great information. Thanks. |

You guys should also understand that some dealers took the cars for themselves but did not take them off MSO, so many of the kats on this list are probably not for sale. |

I doubt if there are 20 for sale. I would bet the only ones for sale are either Mulhollands or Gold with maybe one or two orange. I doubt there are any 97 or 99s that are available to the public. I do not understand how "the floor plan" works so that they can list them as not sold but not pay for them but apparently that happens. I called 10 dealers about Candy Red last year about this time and only one of the 10 was available. Some of the ones that were stored away may later come available, I am sure. It is still interesting to read the breakdown of what has not been titled/sold. |

My guess is that we will gradually see some of these come available as dealer finances warrant. But they could be high milers by then. |

quote: it is interesting to see these cars still on the list. Some dealers are really car guy. I read an article sometime last year about a LEFT OVER `69 Daytona Charger with a little over 7,000 miles. Yes the same dealer has it that got it new with a Viper too. Many are not for sale but at some point or for the right price they would sell. If they are still asking 60~70 K for it, then they really don't want to sell it. It would be real interesting to see this list again in 5~10 years. several of the car will be in the same place if the dealer does not change hands. JMO |

in Houston we have a 2000 silver for sale at Demontrond in Conroe aprox. 42,000 will buy it. 2002 Gold at Jim Archer wants 43,750 as that is what he has in it. both are available and have under 30 miles on them. |

I went through the process of trying to purchase a new prowler in December. I was looking for a mulholland in the North East and eventually found one in New York State. I contacted approximately a dozen dealers. Some cars are not for sale and have never been titled. Some dealers are asking too much in my opinion- Msrp or just below. Some of these vehicles have anything from a few hundred to a thousand miles and are demos(in my opinion). There are dealers out that have been sitting on these vehicles for 3 to 4 years and would like to get rid of them. If you are looking for a new prowler try the small town dealers that have prowlers - some will be willing to deal. Less than $40 000 is a realistic price(imo) and don't forget you get a full new car warranty as well.. Once again thank you for the list CJ. |

I have the original invoice from a dealer in West Palm Beach Florida that sold my '97 Prowler to a car collector for $83,000. I bought it from him 5 years later with less then 100 miles on it for $35,000. Some people made money and some people lost money. I cannot believe they still a new untitled '97. The big money to made was in the very beginning when everyone wanted one. |

But again, that was before I pointed out the paint on the inside passenger door panel, and before we had to open the trunk with the rip-cord because the battery was too low for the release button to work, and before the hood shocks gave way and the hood almost slammed shut on my head. |

They want it gone now at Archer because I was knee deep in wanting one and the price was quoted I rushed over to find it was not the color I was looking for. They handed me the invoice and said they would sell it for what they had in it. It was on Ebay last week but only reached the low 30's. |

That's how we got our Mulholland - a dealer in Chattanooga/TN had the Mulholland in his show room for these past years but wanted more space to put in more Vipers so they told me (and I quote) "we have to get rid of it" and as ALNIRI mentioned above, it has a full 3 year warranty since it has never been titled ! |

Darcy, I think it is obvious that the dealers preferred the RED also and more dealers kept them for themselves. (I did spin for Clinton, formerly) lol. I am trying to insult almost everyone in one post. Democrats and the poor people that did not get a RED Prowler. I guess there could be some double dippers there, too. lol |

All the red's are left because once the potential buyers saw a black one sitting next to a red one they bought the black Prowlers. ------------------ |
