Larry Lord offered an event special on his normally $24.95 plus $8.00 shipping Hinge Protectors at the Invasion of the Dells for $25 installed. I am extending this same offer to anyone attending the Woodward Dream Cruise. I will install a set for you during the event for a flat $25.00. Larry is sending a box of (20) sets. As of this morning only six people going to the Dells have committed to a set. So if you haven't installed them yet, jump on this opportunity. This is one modification that I feel very strongly about. Due to their position, the deck lid hinges are prone to collecting items large enough to damage the hinge and cause a deck lid misalignment along with water leaks. Post here or send CJ or me an email or PM to hold your set. This is a service that we proudly offer to assist fellow owners. I didn't want to leave anyone out or limit it to just the Dells. No need to do anything at this point other than express your interest so that I can have a set for you. Either bring the $25 cash or a check in this amount for Larry Lord to the event. When you arrive, look me up and we'll install them before we get wrapped up in all of the fun activities. Like CJ said, there's no charge to this extremely difficult, five minute installation. Takes longer to get the tools out that to complete the job. This is one feature that DCX should have included on every car. A crushed cell phone and luckily no damage to the hinge or deck lid alignment made me a believer. This message has been edited by RPL on 06-22-2005 at 11:20 AM |

RPL put mine on at Woodward last year and it was a great investment. I had to learn the hard way. |

Is there any difference betwwent he Dell's hinge protectors and the Woodward Dream Cruise hinge protectors? Which ones will be more valuable in years to come? |

Marty, You're not suppose to tell anyone. These are unique, limited edition, numbered and signed for each event. I can only speculate which series will be the most valuable. Can you imagine the poor dealership parts guy that attempts to look up the part number for an owner? |

With Alley Cat and Rich Ware helping, it shouldn't take more than two cases of beer to get the job done! Half of the sets are committed for. Don't miss out and be disappointed. Put your name on the list. I haven't taken any home yet. Larry, do you have any other stock that you need cleared out? We could resell the carry rack after the barbecue. |

Bob - How are you at installing Wonderbars? |

Never tried one but there isn't much that I can't do mechanically. I've done your rear brakes in the parking lot at midnight. Had to use an emery nail file to remove the backing plate build up so how hard can the Wonder Bar be? |

If I don't get any more nibbles on selling my cart I may order one from Larry. |

Ops! Wrong post. It's the newest so I'll run with it is it's okay. If not, I'll add it to the other post. Sorry. Here is a running list of those that have requested a set at the Dells: MDProwler I'll update this list as others reserve a set. Larry is also sending a trailer coupler lock that was requested.
