![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm looking for advice on a problem with my soft top fabric (Mulholland Edition): The way the top folds the fabric seems to always rub against the release latch housing and the lock when closed. I tried several things to make it fold differently, but by itself it doesn't... This is particularly tricky because in the future I'll drive with the top down even more since I bought a hardtop... I'm afraid this will sooner or later rub a hole into the fabric, which in two spots already began... Thanks for input! embe |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I notice that you don't have the top strapped down. Do you normally drive like that? It should be strapped down tight to keep from moving. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for your replies! I'll do the towel trick! Most of the time the top is strapped down. For the picture I had to slightly lift it up in order to make the damaged areas visible, therefore it's unstrapped. I wonder if these damages are something I should claim as long as I still have warranty on the car?? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() quote: ********************************************************* MBe - buy one of those small tire dressing sponges at a auto parts store, and always place it between the top material and the latch area,,,,,,,,,,,,or expect holes to form soon. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Apply a coating of spray-on PolyUrethane finish on that spot Maybe??? That should make it more resistant to wear. A little strip of some good 'ol duct tape will do the trick as well... and you probably wont have to bother with towels and straps... Have Fun! |
