First time I have had to check in on the website. You guys are right..... It was me. I purchased the blue 37 Chevy Truck. It was built for one of the Tennessee Titans football players. Beautiful little truck. 350 Chevy with a 471 blower and air conditioning. I also bought the red 57' Chevy truck ( pro street) with a 383 Stoker motor and air conditioning, a few minutes later. Both are very nice pieces. AC..... I am going to come down to your car show if it doesn't rain. I hope they are wrong about the weather. I also brought a car here to sell, but it is at the Russo & Steel Auction. I decided I wanted to put a reserve on the car. It is a black with blue interior 73' Challenger, with a Galen Govier certification. It is supposed to go across the block tomorrow ( Friday ) at 3:30. It is one of one! The only black with blue interior built. Wish me luck and hope it meets the reserve. |

OH...... I almost forgot. I was looking over the Prowler and trailer at B-J on Wednesday night and met a couple there eyeing it too. I talked with them for almost a half hour. They too are Prowler Owners ( an Orange )and had not heard of the POA. I gave them the info on the website and I hope we see them post when they return home and maybe at an event soon. Very nice couple. ------------------ |

I was there when it went acroos the block, they didn't say a whole lot about the car and the trailor, they just said it was never titled until B/J and that it had 156 miles on it. It brought 39k plus 10% buyer fee, so actual cost 42.9k. I was thinking it would have brought a little more, but i'm not sure thats the right auction for that car.IMO. |

As we can see not even one with a trailer and only 139 miles is bringing great big bucks. So>>>> for all you out there just sitting on one and hoping for the money, forget it and get out and drive them and have some fun. |

Kala - I just walked in the door,,,,,from our Scottsdale car show that we spent 12 hours at today. Turned on the tv to Speed Channel, and heard them mention $5 Million,,,,,,,,,and they went to commercial. Are you saying Mr. Pratt spent $5 big, beans on one vehicle today? If so.....WOW! Have an affair with him,,,,,and I can be his museum curator. Two for one! ********************************************************* Side note: Ran into Bob Hacker today,,,from Illinois. Good to see Bob again,,,,we go back to the 2002 Colorado event together!!! Also, met one of our members from western Canada,,but didn't catch his name [has a Mulholland edition]. We had a nice chat about Prowler stuff......... Didn't see Dale Beaman from Kentucky, but our weather wasn't the best today for staying outside.

quote: Excellent buy! Local tv stations showed that car last week on the news,,,,,,B-J was hoping for atleast $1M for it. Seems Pratt's fat, endless wallet could afford to go higher, lol. Must be money in building [general contractor] casinos in Nevada |

I thought he was in road construction... From what I have learned, construction costs were up 30% in Vegas... That caused the cancellation of a lot of building... condos etc... We just saw .03 % of that spent on cars in Scottsdale LOL... If he's in major construction in Vegas he could have bought a lot more |

K - his storage building in Chandler, Az,,,,,holds nearly $30 million worth of vehicles, and $2 million worth of automobile signing from the past >>>> and that was 'before' this week's purchases! 99.8% of the people who drive by his storage bin each day,,, have no idea what is in inside the place,,,,,nor do only a few people ever get inside to view his toys. I'm not positive what he builds in Nevada,,,,,just stated to me that he is a general contractor. I'm assuming there is big profits in building casinos "on time" and "within budgets". Roads and freeways have to be huge profit projects as well. |

We'll catch you another time. ****************************************************** I did have an unexpected visitor show up today,,,,,,wearing a t-shirt and shorts in our cold 41 degree temps, during a rain storm. You people can probably guess who that was, lol. I need to come up with a raffle idea so we can buy this soul a pair of pants, a shirt, and a warm coat |

A/C, ask him to forward the PM I sent to him with your address on it. You'll love it. I just got back home and I had a PM from TopKat Jim. He is stuck at the Cincy airport due to icing. I was about 5 minutes away from the airport repoing a car and missed his PM by about 5 minutes. The roads are fine but we got 3 or 4 inches of snow Sunday morning and it is supposed to drizzle and then freeze overnight. So far it is not a big deal at all so apparently the airplanes were having icing problems at diff. altitudes. I wish I would have gotten his PM before I left and he could have gone repoing with me. lol |

Ed,,,I'll do that. You talk about your nice weather,,,,our Barrett-Jackson week weather was just 'fabulous'. I knew once I seen a Prowler involved in the B-J auction,,,it was going to rain the entire time, and it did. Fabulous >> 40 degree daylight temps, and rain, made a miserable trip for the people coming to Arizona for the auctions. The Global Warming thing should clear us up soon! |
