I'm curious why someone would spend that kind of time, money, and effort into a car like that and then want to sell it. Does anyone know why he is selling it? If I had the extra cash and a wife that wouldn't kill me, I would love to have it. |

I cannot believe the Prowler transaxle incl.driveshaft,trans.joints,etc would ever be strong enought to stand this torque. If you would have to baby this car to prevent breaking it why go this route?I,m sure most are familiar with the 427 change that Dream Car did and they found it nec.to install Porsche transaxle along with many other updates.I myself believe this car would be a nightmare to own as far as break downs and such.I have had 16 streetrods and some with high HP and do know if heavy duty items are not used you will have trouble.I feel like this would be like a rod with 396 eng.and a 7 1/4 diff.Maybe all this has been taken care of but if not look out. |

Hey BWATTCAR... I have eagerly and patiently awaited your email letting me know when you are coming to Houston for a dyno run. I thought you were coming here around August. Did you come and forget me? or are you still planning on coming before the car sells? |

Prowler Engineer told me at CAAP that putting a V8 in the Prowler would twist the frame like a pretzel. Hope this mod works out and I'm interested in the long term effects structurally to the car. Did they have to re-enforce the frame for the HEMI V8? I wish it was the 6.1L, but 5.7L isn't bad either. ------------------ This message has been edited by spoons on 12-21-2006 at 08:32 PM |

I don't think the Prowler with the one wheel drive can get enough traction to twist the frame. After all the Viper has a aluminum frame and posi and the week link is the rear end on it also and I think Gene is correct as the axle shafts would be the first to go but could be up graded with the rear end next to go. Just my opinion.. |

My first thought was about engine cooling. Seems like the the Prowler just barely gets enough air flowing through the radiator for the six to stay cool. |

Steve T: I looked the picture over of the engine compartment and it looks to have a aluminum 4 core made to fit in there and would need it in Texas. The bidding stopped at $35,100 good price for that car but I think he still owns it |

Did you know if you take the side panels off and run the Prowler at the drag strip it will over heat. Johnny Tribble did that back in early 2000. You'd think it would cool the engine better....but proved us all wrong |
