Marty, Lou wants some maps and directions and has indicated he would prefer to stay in Florence, KY, vs the Milford area. Milford exit 57 on I-275 has Holiday Inn Xpress and a Bob Evans right next door. That is the exit for the cruise-in on Friday night, about 2 miles from that exit. Florence has a little of everything and that would be the Turfway exit. There are several hotels right there and at the next exit. Plenty of restaurants. You can try to work out something for the Friday night stay for anyone coming in from the North or East. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-03-2007 at 09:05 PM |

Ed - there are numerous hotels in Florence. Unless we have more than just a couple of rooms needed, a group rate is not going to work out. People can go to www.ushertravelandvacations.com and click "hotel only" button and enter Florence, Kentcuky and then the July 27th date to see a listing of many hotels to choose from. Also - do you know where the caravan form Cincy area is meeting for the crusie to Somerset? |

Marty, they are going to try to drum up business on Friday night in Milford. Sat. they will be leaving from the rest area just south of Florence. It is about 4 or 5 miles south of Rt. 42, I think. It is just north of the 71-75 split, to Louisville. I would guess at about 175 mile marker. It is between Richwood and Mt.Zion or Richwood and the split. I can't remember the exact lineup right there. Just checked, Turfway is exit 182. The river is 192. |

With this event in just under two weeks, I haven't heard anything else on it. Is it still on on and if so, where is everyone meeting and is anyone one else coming from central Tennessee? If it is on (as a Prowler event), I also need the name and address of the hotel from Marty. I know I got a confirmation but I'll be whipped if I can find it. |

We are still planning on coming but we are buying a new house, Sandy is in FL until tomorrow and is working too many hours so we have really not put in any work on it. I know a few of the locals are planning on going. We have a big party the Friday before and there is something going on Sunday but I guess we will miss that. I think it will be impossible to park together. |

It doesn't really seem like this will be much of prowler event anymore if no one is coming. It would nice to get a fell if anyone will be there so we could make a decision on going or not. |

quote: It really is not so much a "Prowler" event as it is a very nice car show that some Prowler owners ahve attended and were planning to attend. One of the unique aspects of this event is the caravans of cars (not just POA people) that meet and cruise together to Somerset for the car show. I would love to attend but other committments keep me from being able to attend. |

Those (like myself) who have attended can tell you it is not a Prowler Event to attend. Prowlers are welcomed and greatly appreciated but it truly is a "mixed bag" kind of show. We will be going back in either Sept/Oct when it is a prettier time of the year. We will be traveling with a '32 coupe, '70 Monte Carlo and a '75 Vette. It is a great event to attend and you see all kinds of people and cars. Just like what has been said a hillbilly power tour! |

This is a CAR SHOW, i have wanted to go for the past few years. My plan was to take the Dart but it is down so the Prowler will be the backup car. This weekend is the one I want to go to due to the large # of cars from all over the area plus the ones driving in from multible cities in power tour style. Hopefully weather will be good. Later in the fall would be good for color. It may or may not work for me then. So I wlll go now and hope that sometime I will get the chance to go with the Dart. If you think this is JUST A PROWLER EVENT it is not for you. If you enjoy going to cruise ins and talking cars, be there. |

Curious how many are going up from Knoxville and when are you meeting? We were going to go straight up hwy 127 which is a great curvy drive from here but it might be more fun to up with a group. |
