Hi Marty, I couldn't find my photos but there were a few more. Dean was there and I'm sure Bob Wyman (Mr Paxton) was there and Chromer & Jack I think. Those &%$&$ motorcycles just about got there aaaa's bump passed when they wouldn't pull over. Who was it that was so afraid to drive or walk over the Royal Gorge Bridge?

Marc - after I posted earlier I remembered Dean being there and you are right about Bob Wyman also. In the pic I have hanging in our office Chromer is not there but Phil Genet is. Perhaps Chromer was the person with the camera???

It sure was fun cresting that one hilltop doing triple digits and the troope sitting there didn't pull anyone over!

...I already have my plaid sportcoat packed in the trunk

...directions are fairly simple, south 6 miles to I-70, turn right and drive 1200 more miles....stop in Denver

...I have some friends in Aurora I haven't seen since living overseas in 1973, would be nice to visit them also

TUIB, you need to try route 36 from Indy to almost into Denver. Straighter, shorter but not as fast. Lots of photo ops.

TUIB - Here's a tip....If you miss the ramp to I-70, you'll know you went too far south when you hit the Ohio River.

TUIB, it is not that slow. In fact coming home I think we beat the I-70 troupe due to a large accident on 70. We did great until the MO trooper caught us without helmets. We almost made it to IL but he caught us about 30 miles short.
Mike, I love that route. Very scenic. Lots of stuff to see.

Those on that adult, high speed cruise to Royal Gorge, back in 2002:

Marc, Marty and Rebba, RR Bob G., Phil Genet, Bob and Coleen Hacker, the Mustang friend's of Marty, Lethia and I, Dean and his bride,,,,,,,,still missing two or three cars

Dean had just caught up with us on U.S. 50 west,,,outside of Pueblo,,,,,,,and as we approached a hill, doing 105mph +,,,there sat a highway patrolman on the downhill side of the next hill, with his radar on! Our detectors went off like crazy,,,but it was too late to brake and slow down.
As we flew by him,,,,his eyes looked like silver dollars, wondering who [which Prowler] to go after first, lol. I was thinking a $300 fine. The troller was so shocked at seeing so many of us in the same cars,,,,,,,he let us go without a chase that day. Damn,,,were we lucky!!!

Thanks-All for the interest in the Colorado soon to be planed event. How was the hotel that you stayed in Alley? and do you remember it's name? Looks like they could handle lots of cars. How many were there? With more owners now a event record could be set.. The Embassy was so top notch in Tulsa it's hard not to give them First Shot here in Colorado.. Thanks all for your support.. onecatnodog

John - I'll have to search the old Colorado event threads to see which hotel chain it was back then. Nice place,,not as nice as Emb. Suites,,,but still nice.

Hi Carl: This is John Collins with the Black 1999 Prowler, we hooked up in Tulsa.. It was my pleasure meeting you and your family in Tulsa.. Philip just E mailed me with something that I didn't realize under the Up Coming Events.. I should have check it before I posted that I was thinking about a Colorado Event with the question of a 2009 or 2010 Prowlers here. There was a ton of interest from the Prowler People. I have a high school reunion that I had to plan in 2008 as we have never had one and if I didn't do it it wasn't going to happen.. I graduated in 1976 and it will take most of my time to accomplish this feet and takes place in Chicago and I will have to use up my vacation time and any free time that I have just trying to make it work. I will help you in anyway that I can if you want to do it in 2008. I will retract my want to be planed event as yours was posted before mine and I missed it. Please respond to this E mail as the others that I have sent you in the last two years of our cruises and fun events go unanswered. Maybe the email that I have is incorrect.. This is what I have for your address ...clpjspike@aol.com Thanks John(onecatnodog)Collins Cell is 720-934-3540

A Colorado event in any year will be great. If the East Coast Posse's event in Virginia and the West Coast group's Pacific Coast Highway event both also happen in 2008 not to mention an annual gathering at Woodward, it seems there will be an event that every Prowler Owner can attend. I just hope the number of choices does not dimishish the attendance at any of them.

Good points Marty! It's out of my hands as he beat me to the post of having a event here in Colorado. I to am waiting for Carl to give me the Date and Where.. Should be in by next week and will be fun for all. Colorado has so much to offer and so do the Prowler People when they show up.. He knows that I have a reunion in 2008 but I would not disclose the dates of it. If it falls at the same time so be it.. I will still do what ever is needed to help him and others to make it a success. Prowler Events are not about any one person in perticuler as they shouldn't be. I will not walk on anyone with a plan for fun events nor should anyone else "Why Wait Colorado in 2008 it will be Great" Thanks, onecatnodog

John.......I helped Marc and Laddie host the last event in Colorado and I would love to attend a Colorado event again. Carl Spike and I actually had a conversation about that at Tulsa, so I'm sure you have other locals who would be willing to help out. Anything that I can help with (since I lived there 14 years and know Colorado like the back of my hand) I would be happy to do. I was hoping Colorado would be next year! I'm ready for a Rocky Mountain High!!

CJ, you didn't just help you saved my @ss from my inexperiance at event planning. Plus The guys in my annual June fishing trip to Canada voted for a fall trip next year to see the Northern Lights again.
DublinOh I new it wasn't the Westin but wasn't sure where it was. Way to go AC. Looks like the memory's starting to go, the first sign of "forced retirement".

Actually that is the "parking lot" of the hotel at the Smokies and the hotel in the picture is another property owned by the same company.
