According to the Tech zt Autozone, the alternator on my 2000 Prowler has conked, and I must replace it. Can anyone recommend where I can go to find a reasonably priced replacement. I ordered a Paxton Controller from Dean at Prowelr Pro in 2008, and his analysis of my problem was right on the money. Does anhyone have a suggestion? |

Larry Make sure it's not just the decoulping pulley that is bad, which is what 99% of the time goes bad on these. this pulley is also used on other cars besides prowlers, 2005- 2006 Pontiac GTO for one & others that I don't the fit for right now |

onecat installed a Pep Boys Alt. on Phillips Prowler as he is one of the Mile Hi Prowler members... I did it last year and I think it was $125.00 Life Time Warrantee... It was a rebuilt one complete with pulley and there was a core charge of $45.00... But he got that money back when he brought the bad one back.... Maybe he will chime in with all the details... It's easier to change than the manual says and can be done in about 2 hours or less... John(onecatnodog) |

toys, what does it take to remove the alternator pulley? I could look it up in the book but it sounds like you have done it. |
