posted 03-22-2013 03:39 PM Many times you have to drive, drive, drive to get to an event, Zapcopd. On my first it was 15 hours (rained like you wouldn't believe) from NJ to New Castle, In. Girlfriend at that time was not too keen on driving in that, so she didn't. I'm having second thoughts. 15 hours in a Prowler. No thanks. 2 or 3 would be my max. I guess I will stick to looking at the pics from my living room. This message has been edited by Zapcopd on 03-25-2013 at 04:53 PM |

Come on, I just drove across country to Vegas last year. It was one of the best trips I've ever been on. The wife agreed and started out not wanting to go. If that's not the seal of approval nothing is. |

Gary, you drove farther than us to get there but Gad drove from NJ to Vegas and joined several of us in Indiana for the final four days. We had so much fun on the trip out there that we decided on the NON-event for this year in Nova Scotia. A group of Prowlers on the road is a sight to behold and really a lot of fun. Either you get it or you don't. I have put way over 100,000 miles on our Prowlers and didn't have a second thought about any of the longer trips. |

Larry, those Rt 66 pics bring back so many great memories. The top one is case in point. We pulled into Atlanta, Illinois I believe to check out the 30' tall muffler guy holding a hotdog. We were invited in to Palm Cafe? to see the new renovation back to 30's original and for a piece of pie.
While at the museum someone told us they were calling Mildred to let us in to the grain elevator that was being restored. Larry's top photo and this one. As I recall our 15 minute photo op stop turned into a terrific 4+ hours Here is a Wildcat memory from further down the Mother Road..and he and WildKitty weren't even there. Just curious. What kind of times do you get out of a Paxton or a twin turbo Prowler? Also. Do you know what a stock Prowler runs? |

quote: Zap, on that day Al ran 12.863 (twin Turbo) & I ran 13.19 (paxton). With my Paxton, I mostly ran low 13's to mid 13's. I did run in the 12's 10 times with my lowest being 12.783. The biggest Variable being the weather. Prowler luvs cool temps ... Other variables like elevation can significantly affect times... most my runs have been in Louisiana... sea level... Stock Prowlers run high 14's to Lo 15's... |
