http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/2001-CHRYSLER-PROWLER-CONVERTIBLE-181082 --------------------------------------------------------- I looked at over 1,000 units pictured, and those are the only two Prowlers I seen listed. Maybe I missed others? |

Could just be the angle, but looks like terrible paint mismatch from front side cover/hood to door on orange cat This message has been edited by alprowl on 12-28-2014 at 02:00 PM |

Ron Pratte is auctioning off his complete car collection at that auction. 100 cars valued at over 5 million no reserve. This message has been edited by Landscape Doctor on 12-29-2014 at 07:56 AM |

Why would Chip Foose autograph this car? What difference would that make?? Maybe he did the repair bodywork after the wreck! It would seem to me that Barrett Jackson should be able to come up with much better Prowlers than this one. |

Jay and I know the owner of the orange Prowler very well & I am posting a couple of pics to help clarify comments about the B-J ad. As far as any accident it was a police report made as someone backed into it in a parking lot.

It sounded much worse than it actually is.The car looks very nice. Still don't understand the Foose signature though. It will be interesting to see how much it does bring. I would be willing to bet under 25K. When BJ tacks on their Buyers Premimum that will keep the price down some. |

Purple '97 may go across tonite, or more likely tomorrow. Orange '01 goes Thursday afternoon. Goes by Lot #s but changes with higher end vehicles during prime time tv coverage, whose sellers pay more for the best bidding hours.

I was really looking forward to the auction on the Velocity channel last night. I tried to watch for the first hour but had to give up after 30 minutes. They would have 5 minutes of auction and sell maybe one or two cars then 10+ minutes of commercials.I think I will go back to the Discovery channel tonight! If those buyers that did manage to buy were buying for investment, Good Luck, the prices were way stupid (my opinion only though).$250,000.00 for the Beverly Hillbillys Truck (one of several built)? |

watched last night most of the cars that went thru were ron pratt's collection , brought BIG dollars and crazy dollars , did not see the prowler go across, as a prowler owner i figure we would have to sell out right going to the auction you will more than likely take a loss |

quote: Doug,,,,, Mostly figuring, you are correct, but at 2014 Scottsdale B-J, quite a few Prowlers went through and brought higher than average retail figures. But then again you have to figure in seller's fees paid and the cost to get the car into the auction,,,plus detailing fees. Its a big gamble when going "NO RESERVE" ,,, depending on who's bidding at that exact moment ... like playing Russian Roulette. This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-14-2015 at 09:42 AM |
