One of the unique things about the Prowler is that there really were no options available except for the following.

1997. No options. Not even paint color. Purple Only.

1998. No production cars were available.

1999. Paint color choices (Purple, Yellow, Black, Red) were available.
In the later part of the year, chrome wheels were an "Option".

2000. Paint color choices (Purple, Yellow, Black, Red, Silver) were available.
A two tone was available on the Woodward cars which was Black over Red.

2001. Paint color choices (Purple, Yellow, Black, Red, Silver, Orange, Blue, Gold) were available.
If you chose the Mulholland Blue, the convertible top was blue.
A two tone was available on the Black Tie cars which was Black over Silver.

2002. Paint color choices (Silver, Yellow, Gold, Candy Red) were available.
There was also one High Voltage Blue car produced.

The 1997 and some of the 1999 cars had a prop rod for the hood. The rest got the hydraulic shock style units on them.

The 1997, 1999, and 2000 cars were built with Koni Shocks.
The 2001, 2002 cars were built with Dynamic Shocks which were prone to leaking while under warranty. Many got replaced, mostly with Koni Shocks.

The 2000, 2001, 2002 cars got a chrome trim around the shifter, an electronic readout built into the inside rearview mirror, and upgrades to the radio that includes a switch for speed sensitive volume control.

The 2001 Mulholland Blue cars, and all the 2002 cars were sold as Chrysler Prowlers which eliminated the "Plymouth" embossed driver side rear bumper, it was plain.

For further details, read about the Facts and Statistics on the home page here on POA http://www.prowleronline.com/facts.php

There was also a 9/10 scale trailer available for purchase as well as "Over the counter" options like the trailer hitch, wiring harness for the hitch, a Borla cat back exhaust system as well as many other items like cup holders, cd holders, and a golf or luggage bag to work with the available luggage rack that slid into the trailer hitch..

Rich,
Oops. I knew that but was reading the colors from the Facts and Stats page here on the forum.
I saw Purple listed under the 2000 year but neglected to notice it clearly said Zero Production of that color.
That will teach me to do research prior to posting something and not read it completely through.

My apologies for any misleading.

ALRTG brings up a good point about the modifications you may find on a used Prowler. When I found my current Prowler it had some things I really wanted and some things I did not want. I took into consideration what it would cost me to add the round headlights, supercharger, black aftermarket wheels, and two tone black over Orange paint scheme which were all things I wanted to do to the car anyway. Then I figured out how much it would cost to change the ugly custom grill, and then make a few more mods of my own to come up with a cost to get the car they way I wanted it. I paid a bit more to the dealer for the car then if I got a stock one but way less than it would have cost to add the mods I wanted. Also, the dealer had a buyer wanting my Viper and made a very good offer to trade that in...Only time I ever traded a car and the dealer wrote me a big check!
Like others have said, pick a color you like and check out the condition, then buy it and start having some fun driving it! Good luck with you search!

Agreed on mods. I looked at my first Prowler over the weekend, and I liked it in general. Had some mods I liked and hadn't even thought about.
Am looking at another one this week.
