CJ actually received her first ride in this car at Dream Cruise on Woodward. Jerry and his partner were doing thermo-cycling and Jerry put her in the car for a lap down Woodward. The car is still owned by the successor company.

Now that you mention it I remember you mentioning it a long time ago. And it was that one of a kind 1998 model too. LOL A lot of people here don't know your history with Chrysler.

Our Prowler was built September 1998. But Chrysler had all 98’s titled as 1999. Since this car in Tulsa is still owned by Chrysler, never titled and was highly likely built in 98, I can see why they are calling it a 98 Prowler. Technically speaking until it is titled otherwise it is.

Here's some additional history regarding this Prowler from a reliable source.

1997 Prototype Phase IIC built from 10-27-1995 to 1-10-1996 at CTC pilot plant

Original intended as impact car 7V80 but changed to engineering car 7085 license 69M338

Vehicle development road trips April and June 1996

Republican convention in San Diego August 9 to 15-1996 as one of two cars for the press to drive

Shipped to Detroit for the Woodward Dream Cruise August 17, 1996

Shipped to Democratic Convention in Chicago August 23 to 27-1996 and joined the other car that was at the Republican convention in California for the press to drive

Driven by the development engineer to the Superdawg drive-in in Chicago August 1996 for pictures that were used in MotorWeek magazine September 19,1996 article by Sam Moses

Various uses by engineering until end of 1997

Put in Tulsa time capsule January 17, 1998

This provides a history of the car still owned by Stellantis.

I still enjoy looking back at the amazing collection of people, places and things that we have met, been and seen by simple ownership of a Plymouth Prowler. And you are featured in all of them.
