Great story. I moved the negative ground on the car, looked messy through the grille so I bought brand new 2ga wire and made a new ground to the factory location long enough that I could run it nice and hidden. Gas gauge still empty, lemme cruise to the gas station and top it off. 1/2 mile from my house I run out of gas!!! Guess moving the ground back worked because I am out of gas. Gets better…I let the car roll as far as she can and then jump out going about 3 mph to just keep it rolling. My back tire grabs my foot and drags my leg under!!!! This is my 2nd time driving the car on real roads I forgot about the 18” of tire that hangs out lol Lucky I got it out before it really got me but got 1/4 way up my shin. I’m pushing the car limping and luckily a guy stopped and took me to buy fuel and a gas can. So I put 5 gallons in and it went right to 1/2 where it pretty much should be, I think? I just put the car away and have my leg up for a little while. I believe moving the ground was my issue. Ankle is pretty swollen but I can move it all around and limp on it, it’ll be alright in a day or two. As soon as I can move around a bit more I’ll go top it off………….wish me luck lol it’s pretty embarrassing now that I think about it. Never try that again!!!

I can still move it around, as I said it’s pretty swollen but it’s also a fresh wound. I’m going to try and stay off it completely tomorrow. Unfortunately I have a few things in the house that need to get finished up. After today I can rest a bit. Thanks for your concern Wildcat 🤙🏻😉

It is hard enough getting out while it is parked, sure don't want To do it when moving. Hopefully you will be ok. Try to take it easy a couple days.

Thanks guys I am almost positive it will hurt more tomorrow 😳 is what it is. I appreciate you guys concern. I have never had any ankle injury before so I’m trying to take it slow. Again thank you guys, hopefully I can post some pictures next week cruising. Neither me or my friends took pictures at the show. I was surprised at how many people loved it. A few Prowler owners were there that I spoke with. I was the only Prowler there tho. Hopefully more next show. I had planned on cruising 5th Ave this weekend. If I can cruise around but can’t get out and walk around I am still going 😜 I’ll brake with my left foot 🦶 seriously though I wouldn’t put other people’s lives in danger because I am driving hurt. Probably going to be on the couch for a few days. Stay tuned.

You need to elevate and ICE that ankle. Stay OFF of it. If you don’t, it will swell and begin to bruise up badly.

If after a day of keeping it elevated and not pushing weight on it still hurts a lot, you need to go to Urgent Care and get x-rays.

Ankle injuries require immediate attention.

Thank you funnythebunny. I woke up at 1 am and iced it. Swelling is down a lot, I got real lucky. Again, I appreciate everyone's input/concern. Now that she's all figured out and running great I am going to stay off my feet until at least Monday. Put some serious cruise time in next week!

Damn,,, go get a xray for precautions. If there is a fracture that needs attention and you don't do anything,,, you will have issues in the future. Hopefully it's just a sprain and you will be back up in running in a couple weeks.

My Mom broke her ankle last June,,, wasn't fun. Here is a pic.

Thanks LD but I really don’t think it’s broken. Very fortunate that Ed and I were both wrong, 1/2 as swollen this morning. Hurts much less than yesterday. Everything I had to do yesterday is done so I am going to just take it easy. I’m icing it as much as possible and keep it elevated. Man as it was rolling up my shin thank god I thought fast and moved myself 90 degrees front the tire and let it roll over my leg. It definitely could have been a lot worse. I was on the side of a pretty busy highway too. Pushed it about a mile limping before someone stopped. I really don’t think it’s that bad. Not bruised at all, just sore and swollen. I had my angels with me on that ride!!!!!! The other part of the story was the guy who stopped was a guy who just bounced around and found work. I filled his tank up for him and he was very happy, it was at about a 1/4 tank before. He didn’t have gas to get to jobs that were too far. Now he does, if my pain helps him get food on the table for his family then I am happy it happened. I’m sure I’ll see him one day again. Funny how things happen.

Again thank you guys so much for the concern. Unfortunately I am one of those guys who only sees the Dr if I am 1/2 dead lol I hate going to the Dr or hospital. The swelling is way down today. I have only walked on it a few times today so I’m hoping by the end of the weekend I’ll be back at it. I have a good brace coming today so I’m very hopeful it wasn’t major.

Chris, glad to hear you are doing pretty good, all things considered. As long as you could bear weight immediately after the incident, very unlikely to fracture the tibia which is the main weight bearing bone in the lower leg. It is still possible to fracture the fibula and bear weight, but unlikely. It's the other other bone in the lower leg. Continue with RICE: Rest,Ice, Compression, Elevation. And Ed was right, the older we get the more likely to hurt more the second or third day. And also very true story, you are typical. Most men are reluctant to go the doctor. They're having a heart attack, "oh it'll be ok, just a little indigestion". Have pneumonia, "oh it'll be ok, just a little cough, the shortness of breath isn't too bad". But let something be wrong with the little man and the twins, they will get to the doctor in record time! Absolute, guaranteed!!. Hope you recover quickly. By the way, any chance of a video of the leg mishap?

Unfortunately I can’t find a link for a video. It was Mirorar outlets in Estero. Thrown by a great group of guys The Cool Cruisers. They have a lot of shows. There is a few today. I might have to go cruise a bit today. Definitely ain’t gonna be getting out and walking around. I’m getting antsy over here. Swelling is way down and I have an ankle brace. We’ll see, I am definitely putting her out in the sun and wiping her down today for sure. Again thank you for your concern, you guys must have me in your prayers because I’m healing up pretty quickly!! I really do appreciate it, thank you guys.

I’m doing pretty good, thank you. Once I figured to stay off my feet for a while I healed up pretty well. Still a little sore, only a little swelling on the outside after walking. You still coming out in December?
