I have an extra set of the silver spoked rear wheels. Next project is going to be machining the front lip off of them and getting a front wheel barrel from MHT or Weld Wheels and making 2 piece 13" wide rear wheels to run a 355 back tire as well. Machine the front face (lip) off flat. Machine holes in the wheel and install heli-coil threads in the correct locations for the wheel to be true. Bolt the new wheel half (lip) on and you can make any width 2 piece you want as long as the back spacing is what you want. I have done it in the past. The 315 street slicks have really grown on me and now I think the 18" wide Mickeys are just too much. I have a few emails out for machine shop quotes and have to start calling the wheel companies to see what they offer. Last time I did this was 12 years ago easy but I did it in my shop. Wish me luck. Snapped a few interior shots this morning too. The stripe on the steering wheel is just dirty. I’m always blasting out after I play with the car and never wash my hands lol This message has been edited by cdeluca99 on 08-19-2024 at 11:14 AM |

Thanks Jay an Madman. Dad got the rear cross member last week. He doesn’t want to mess with the hardware installed underneath so he’s gonna re-lay it out with probably 8 instead of 10 holes. Putting it in a Hass CNC she’s gonna be spot on! I’m expecting pictures next week. Pumping the brakes on my wheel project. Got some pretty stupid prices for the machine work none of these local shops have ever done this before.Might have to send those back with dad in October I know all my fixtures are still in the shop somewhere lol

Thanks John. I’m going to polish the rear section of the chassis once she’s back together. I’ll have to bring you back to dads and you can ask him! This message has been edited by cdeluca99 on 08-27-2024 at 05:17 PM |

Your dad is doing a great job! It's a shame the transmission cooler blocks half of this. Look forward to seeing it on the Prowler. |

Thanks Larry. Have you started looking at coolers? Or do you mean maintaining the factory cooler and moving it? There’s a lot available. Wiring for the fan is set up so swapping it should be easily done. It’s wide open plenty of room for new brackets too. Any particular reason you want to change Jane’s? Do you have any pictures of one that has been relocated?

I don't think that will work with the high boy kit. |

Unfortunately that definitely ain’t gonna work with the Hiboy kit, Thanks for posting the pic though Tony I appreciate it. The guy who did the Hellcat conversion did a nice cooler if I remember correctly. I gotta dig around. Coolers are very inexpensive so I will most likely change it. With that fancy crossmember you could block it off and use it for a transmission fluid reservoir. All that aluminum would make a big heatsink and the increased volume of transmission fluid. Just thinking outside the box. LOL |

Cool idea Padroo but I’m going to just swap it with a different one I can hide. Once she’s up and ready for the new part install I’ll take a really good look at it. I’m sure I’ll figure something out I’m pretty sure I can use what’s there and just make new brackets. We’ll see how it plays out.
