Pretty excited. Laura is going to bring her bug. She’s never owned a car she could show!!! We have a crew of about 6-7 guys meeting in the morning. Dad bought a new toy last night. All I know is he didn’t buy his usual black color. This one is red. The guy’s at Naples Motorsport got 53k for a 2001 black tie edition with super low, under 100 miles on it. I still have to take a ride up there. If anyone wants to meet up, you know what my car looks like lol come say hello!!

Is this you?

Looks like a good turnout.

Here are a couple photo's from the event I attended on Saturday where my Greenbrier received a Peoples Choice Award.

Front row left.

Front row center.

Front row right. (The Silver Motorhome on the right is a Corvair powered Ultravan)

I was parked in the back row with the Vendors selling parts.

Here is a photo of my award.

As each vehicle entered the parking lot, a photo was taken. This event was held at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in Your Springs PA which Prowler's visited as a part of the Chrysler's at Carlisle 25th Anniversary event week.

Yep you found me!! Your van looks great!! That silver van is pretty unique looking, I dig it. Put a Hemi in the back and make a wheelie monster out of it lol. Where is the engine located in your van? Which engine is it? Do the vans have the same burning issues as the cars? Thanks I always thought those cars were so cool. Only saw 1 in person that was a guy my dad used to know it was beautiful, silver I think convertible I don't remember. You did a great job with that one, enjoy it you deserve it.

All Corvair's had the engine in the back. They are a horizontally opposed six cylinder.
The early engines were 140 cubic inches and started at 80 HP.
Over the years, they grew to 145 C.I. then to 164 C.I. and horsepower went up to 180 H.P. on the Turbocharged versions in 1965 & 1966 Corsa models.

The van I have is a 1964 which was a transition year from the 145 C.I. to 164 C.I. engine. Mine is a 110 H.P. 4 speed with a 3:55 positraction transaxle.

I actually get more attention with the van than I did with the Prowler and most of the people under 50 have no clue that it is a Corvair, let alone a Chevrolet product.

P.S.
Before I had the Prowler, I had a 1966 Corvair coupe with a Kelmark Mid Engine conversion where the engine was behind the front seats. I had that car for 16 years and all these years later, kind of wish I had not sold it.
