CJ and Bob Longstreth organized the mecca of Prowler events, of which there have been many, with the Prowler 10th Anniversary at the Woodward Dream Cruise in 2007. The 10th Anniversary celebration is to Plymouth Prowlers what Woodstock is to rock and roll. To remember a most outrageous Plymouth/Chrysler Prowler event on Woodward Dream Cruise weekend, this is the entire unedited video document; Prowlers 10th Anniversary

Dick, at the 12 minute mark of the clip you can see the parking lot full of cars. I did NOT try to count them but you can count one row and multiply it to get a general count. I thought it was close to 200, but wouldn't dispute whatever number. I have the picture on the wall. A ton of fun and very exciting making that turn. We are about the 2nd or 3rd last one to make the turn so we got to see a lot of it. THRILLING and Mike captured it all. |

If memory serves we had 184 Prowlers at Chrysler HQ and 110 or 111 made the turn onto Woodward. |

Gotta say honestly CJ’s car just looks amazing cruising or sitting. My jeep is back now so I’m definitely gonna rent a U-Haul trailer and make an event really soon. I really hope to see that car and many others in person one day. I’ve always had a thing for that car tho. I absolutely love it. you guys do a great job getting videos etc. I’m excited to be a part of that one day. |

Thanks Mike. It brings back a lot of good memories. Also many thanks to CJ and Bob for everything they have done for us over the years. Without them this would have never happened. |

I never get tired of watching that. What’s equally amazing is how fast we got out of the parking area. We were parked all over even on the lawn. It wasn’t just a matter of getting out of marked off parking places. It was amazing. The largest number of owner Prowlers gathered together before and since. A record I doubt will ever be broken. That same year we had 90 plus Prowlers at the Tulsa event. I think we also set a record at that event. The longest cruise without having to stop at a traffic light. One of our members Zack was a cop. He had arranged for an officer at every intersection stopping traffic and waving us through. Here is a photo . Prowlers for as far as you can see and then some. That red speck next to the median was Mike and Karen Gatlin videoing. At the tail end somewhere out of sight was Marty and Rebecca Usher in their custom SSR. Marty had volunteered to help keep everyone together. We arrived at our lunch destination as a complete group. This message has been edited by BeWare on 08-19-2024 at 09:58 AM |

Tulsa was just outstanding Rich. So much fun from a crazy idea...a buried 57 Plymouth? Well that has Prowler event written all over it, right? I will try to post the Tulsarama DVD one of these days. It was a ton of work but we had a lot of fun producing it. And filming those monumental drives by never ever got old. This message has been edited by MIKE GATLIN on 08-19-2024 at 03:27 PM |
