I'm a 55-year retired IBEW union member. Our International pushes Biden like he's the savior of the world. What bothers me is that a majority of the members go along with it without giving a second thought. I held office in our local and was an instructor in our apprenticeship school for close to 20 years. Years ago, members seemed to be more open-minded. Now, if you're not a Democrat, it's best to keep quiet and just do your job. My union membership and training gave me the opportunity to move into different fields of work and the finances needed to venture into the business world and I am forever grateful. However, I still hate to see their blind faith in the Democrat party. |

My older brother was the Exec. Director of all the building trades in Cincy for many years. He is a dyed in the wool liberal. My younger brother was a pipe fitter, another liberal and my younger sister is waaaaay out to the left. My older sister was a strong conservative and so is her hubby. My son was Pres. of the Firefighters Union in Cincy for about 5 or 6 years and he is not a liberal at all but he had to kind of mask that in his public opinions. The ex-Pres of the Fire Fighters Union sends a bunch of letters to the Editor and he is an absolute flaming liberal. I think it all goes back about 60-70 years for unions and they don't see how they have been betrayed since then. They have blinders on, I guess. |

I was a member of the UFCW union for 27+ years, and when I'd go to the Union meetings about 150 other members would show up. Only three of us were conservatives who were drowned out by all the liberal 'sheep' who bought into the BS fed them by the union bosses. In today's world I wonder how those liberal members view the Biden administration now? Probably like the liberal POA members that use to post in the POT forum until BHO was elected, and shortly afterwards disappeared because they couldn't defend BHO's path to destroy America. I once counted 93 members posting in the POT during the Bush and O'bumber years. Seems like we lost 85 of them too scared to debate the issues. |
