on friday i bought gas for 3.26 per gal. in mn. i hope it keeps going down. what are you paying for gas and what state? |

We still have a gas shortage and long gas lines in GA. The prices have been around $3.96 @ gallon. Only about 1 in 10 stations have gas at any given time. They say it could last another 2 weeks. Only regular gas is avaiable. |

About a month ago, a new Chevron opened up 1/2 mile from my house. There was a Shell station across the street from them and they started a gas war. Gas got down to $2.08/gallon (yes, thats a 2) and by the time I got off work, ran my errands, and had a chance to get in line, it was about 10:30pm. Lines were as far as the eye could see in 2 directions. They had run out of gas 3 times that day and a tanker was dropping off another load. The station closed at midnight. No way could I have made it to the pumps by then. Gas that cheap just 1/2 mile from my house and I couldn't even take advantage of it! |

Falling gas prices are great! But if you have to drive very far out of your way, or wait for an hour in a long line to save ten cents a gallon when filling up a 12 gallon Prowler tank it may not make sense....Unless, of course, you're an old geezer who's retired and have nothing better to do... seen 3.05 Saturday at Walmart and many other stations in the area at 3.16 On my side of town it is 3.26 What I don't understand is that Diesel as went up to over $4 a gallon again |
