This might be particularly interesting to Prowler owners, McLaren is working on using fighter jet technology to eliminate the need for wipers. The concept involves using sound waves to keep the windshield clear.

I think it may be less expensive to use 2/3 coats of Rain-X on our Prowler windshields....

The technology sounded pretty simple but even if it works in a car application, I don't know how feasible retro applications are. If it works on a supercar, it would probably take a while to work its way onto regular cars.

I think I will keep my good old fashion wipers for when you pass a semi throwing road crud up

Doubt a fighter jet has to deal with road grime

I know Marty User run his Prowler without wipers, but don't see how in the winter in the Midwest.
