They use speed density, rather than mass air flow to monitor engine performance. The computers do not have removable chips and, so far, no one has been successful in re-programming one. DC has fielded numerous requests for a performance computer, but at the present time, have no plans for one. The Federal government is very strict regarding Federal emissions compliance and DC will not jeopardize that confidence. Companies like Paxton use a piggy-back system to meet the needs of their application.
