Hack the front off a torque converter and core the center and use it for a plate stiffener.Check the balance to make sure it's not an integral part of the crank balance. Probably not the case. Can you see any runnout on the slider at RPM's from the underside of the car? I guess you got your engine compartment clearance by not running a bellhousing.

another thought--not trying to be a wise guy or know it all--just adding input. What's a sprint car driveshaft length?--18--20 inches past the in-out? With the long shaft you're using, whip from spline fit could be greatly accentuated translating into vibration. What's the reason for the spline anyway?

After all that ONLY 70 lbs. was added to the front?!?

My mind is blown!

If you packaged this as a kit, you would make a small fortune among Prowler owners.....

Hail to the new POA GOD!

Thats awesome!!!! Great job hope to hear the results after all the bugs are worked out. Just curious will the trans handle 300+ hp being delivered via V/8 power plant vs V/6?
Also what is the gear ratio for the prowler and how will that effect the top end vs low end ? Thanks !

Why don't you have someone build a billet flywheel for the car........shouldn't be that difficult. My husband had one built for his "Rumbler".

THANKS TO EVERYONE,THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED! Kessler Engineering has a 57 Hemi Flywheel. This should solve the problem of runout which I think will eliminate the vibration. I appreciate the concern of additional H.P. and Torque a V-8 will put out. I hope the tranny will survive with a little foot restraint, also I have heard of prowlers with turbo or spercharged V-6's exceeding the V-8's output. I hope thats the case. And a special thanks to Jay for the offer of the custom shimmers. THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!

Well if Mike K's 500+ HP Prowler didn't blow the tranny, we might be safe....

Ok guys latest update everything seems to be fine w/the exception of an aggravating harmonic rattle in the drive line. The latest fix being that the drive shaft is being fixed with foam. I JUST WANT MY CAR BACK!!!!!hehehehe
