I am going to be looking into manufacturing a new style window regulator for our Prowlers. Does anyone have a broken left side regulator that they don't need? Please email me at tommills@earthlink.net Thanks, Tom |

Oh please, that would be great. There are 94 on national back order with no completion date as of yet. This is a much needed project that someone could make a killing on if it were perfected. Good luck and keep us posted. |

UPDATE I will have all the parts I need early next week to see if I can come up with a replacement window regulator. I will make a post when I know for sure. |

If the left side your referring to is the drivers side then I have one. It may have been tampered with but not sure. Just remember it looked different than the new one when it was replaced three years ago. Your welcome to it. Danielle |

I have been trying to obtain a RH (drivers side) power window regulator with not luck. I could use one soon. Any help would be appreciated. Could also use the drivers side door handle bezel (surround). Bob srqboater@aol.com |

Recently my drivers side regulator went out. The rear glass guide was broken. A fellow prowler owner who also builds experimental aircraft, after beig told it was not repairable developed a method of repairing them. Long story short, it works great and I have talked him into offering to repair them for $50.00. This only applies to those regulators where the guide is broken. I dont know the exact method he used, but he said anyone who needs one repaired can send it to him with a return box, postage prepaid and $50.00 and he will turn it around in a day or two. Anyone interested, pm me and i will get you his name and address. He is a great guy and fellow prowler owner, and far more mechanical than I. |

Tom, any progress on your project? Dick L. the local guy who is repairing the center caps and fender braces said he would like to try to repair a window reg. so if anyone has an extra, broken one, let me know. |

I do have a window going up and down on a new style regulator now but it still needs a lot of tweaking. I am also waiting for a reply back from my supplier on some parts for another regulator idea I am working on. I am sure one of them will work out. I am leaving town next week for a while and I hope to have an answer some time in December. I will keep you posted. |

Ed, My driver side is broken and needs repairing. I think it is stuck on the left side of the rail. Let me know, I can ship it if he wants to try and tackle it. Its frustrating because I cant get one from DC as it is still on national backorder. Then only place is that Prowl97 but I refuse to do business with that guy. |

Definitely send it. He was working on something the other day and didn't even have a real reg to work on. He was showing me how to fix it but I am not a visionary, even when it is in front of me. I will PM you my address. He loves to fix things and loves challenges so I am sure he will get right on it, just like everything else. |

A local owner stopped by the other day and said his window went out. I told him to pull the regulator out and we would take it over to Dick. We took it over today but Dick was out having a monthly luncheon with his h.s. classmates. He is 72 yrs. old. Anyway, he will be working on a project. I will try to keep you all updated. I don't know if he is going to try to produce them or just wants to work on repairing them. It is good to have options. |

Well, I have the glass going up and down OK. Still needs a lot of refining for the consumer to install but it looks possible. I am working with my vendor to see if he will be able to supply the parts I need and still be cost effective. I will keep you informed. I hope to have more information before I go south again. |
