I am changing the tires on the car. I want to continue the tpms system..Are the batteries replaceable or does the sensor need to be replaced..I dont want to go to a different system. Are the available.. Thanks |

They are sealed, If you have an extra, try to get one open, might be just a small hearing aid battery in them. There are many aftermarket kits available for the sensors, even PepBoys carries a aftermarket set. I also heard , new ones can be purchased from GoodYear, You might want to give them a call. |

Searched on line and there are some that sell them ..has anybody bought these replacements, they say direct.... |

A1Q20028 replaces OE number 5208-8990AC and A1Q20335 replaces OE numbers 04727392AD, 5127 335AB, 5127 335 AD. so kindly check the number on the TPMS OE number on your vehicle before placing the order. does this make sense to anybody with a oem number 2001 chrysler prowler |

The ones in the 2002 Prowler are different and cheaper than eariler years. The batteries were supposed to last 10 years, so if you by factory replacements, you might want to find out how old they are. |
