Does anyone know if the US Prowler has the harness connector for the daytime running light module? Is it as simple as plugging in the module that was in the Canadian version? Thanks, Keith |

Canadian Prowlers have a different wiring harness that support the DRL module. You can not just plug in the module. Canadian Tire Store sold an aftermarket module that would work. Unfortunately it is no longer available. |

Hi Robin. Daytime Running Lights is the ONLY update required to bring a built for USA Prowler into Canada. Daytime running lights are required in Canada to pass a safety. After completing the modification and import process, the importer receives a Canada Certification Label that is to be applied to the door. |

Import process does not apply if vehicle is over 15 years old according to manufacture date on the door. |

What I have on my US cat is, always-on running lights. That's the way it was when I got it. Woks for me. When I imported a cat, a while back, I had to put the crappy tire DRL module on it. Funny thing is, it saftied with no bumpers or back-up lights. Mechanics are lost on these cars. Is it possible that you have them and don't know it? |

When I brought my Prowler up from Washington I had to pass a federal government inspection at Canadian Tire to have the car certified. I had installed the aftermarket module that I bought at Canadian tire prior to that inspection and the mechanics specifically looked to make sure I had daytime running lights. That was one of the requirements that I had to fulfill so that I could get my RIV certification sticker. I then had to take it for a Provincial inspection at a Chrysler dealership where they went through everything and it didn't pass the first time because the hood struts where shot. The Mopar DRL module is only for Canadian cars because they have the pre installed wiring to fit it. I know that because I bought one thinking I could just plug it into the existing US harness which isn't the case. So Robin....how did you manage to get the RIV Sticker...The DRL are a federal government requirement as far as I know. |

Purchased from a dealer. I didn't bring it across the border. Maybe it was certified and the module has malfunctioned . I will check in the spring. robin |
