I have 2 renewed ignition capacitors. Yesterday I made a long ride, even on rough road was no interfering noise.
if the noise comes again, I want the instructions in the SERVICE MANUAL work off

My radio made an explosive buzzing sound that traveled around the car (very loudly) while I was driving yesterday. The loud noises continue to blast out at random…even when the car is turned off with keys out of the ignition at times! Changing the mode, volume, or driving doesn’t make any difference in this problem - the radio looks normal (lights and such) but no music. I tried Greg and Veta's trick of manipulating the wiring in back of the stereo. That does change the sound of the noise and buzzing, but does not improve it or restore audio function. I'm taking it to the local Chrysler dealer in a week or so. Any suggestions in the meantime?

Hi, just to follow-up on this noise issue in the radio. I also had the same symptoms of the noise going away in 2nd gear AND in reverse. Very frustrating to say the least!

I finally had the radio replaced with a pioneer unit (DEH-X8800)and the noise is gone! I didn't have to change the Infinity Amp under the seat. The installer was able to tie into it using existing wires behind the head unit. Steering wheel controls work also using the PAC SWI-PS Adapter.
THE NOISE IS GONE!!!

If interested, you can read about my new setup (dated 11/1/17) here: http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/022824.html

Hi, I can't tell in the video you posted if the sound is the same. sorry. The key to this problem is if the sound goes away in 2nd gear OR in reverse. The radio has to be on, but the volume doesn't need to be turned up. So if you hear the sound in the driveway and it goes away when you put it in reverse then replace the radio. Crazy, I know, but that was my experience.
Hope this helps, good luck!
