I purchased my car from Andra several years ago. She used Valvoline or Castrol GTX conventional oil. I changed over to Mobile 1 - 5W30 synthetic motor oil. The car had almost 55,000 miles on it when I changed. I haven’t noticed any leaks or problems. The only reason I changed was because all my other cars were using this oil. When I purchased this car Andria gave me a case of oil filters. So I use these. I don’t remember what brand but Andria never purchases anything that she doesn’t do research on. So I don’t have any second thoughts about using these filters. You will get all types of recommendations & answers on this question. Everyone has an opinion. There is a guy on Utube that test all kinds of products (Project Farm). He does not accept any money from any product manufacturer so his reviews are unbiased. It is worth the time to watch one of his videos & how he test these products. http://youtube.com/@ProjectFarm This message has been edited by Dick Henry on 12-28-2022 at 10:32 AM |

I usually use Mobil 1 Syn 5w30 or Penzoil, but most likely switching to Costco Kirkland brand next time. Mine don't get a lot of miles on them, so I don't think it would matter what you use. For filters I was using Purolator or Mobil one, but bought a case of Mopar filters from someone on here and have been using them. |

Obviously, this needs to be made into a 'sticky'. I don't understand the blank posts (post 5,6, etc). What do they reference? |

I don't know if this fits into this topic, but some good information on this webpage. Oil and coolant change suggestions are interesting. Could be worth converting to a PDF in case the website goes away. https://www.tomorrowstechnician.com/keeping-3-5-alive-service-notes-chryslers-v6-engine/ |

The point of this thread is to try to keep everything in one spot. A quick guide for all Prowler stuff. The first page is reserved for all of it. I am trying to categorize in different posts to keep it organized. As needed the blank posts will be filled. If it was scattered throughout the whole thread it would just turn into a jumbled mess and become useless. Hope this answers your question. Thank You.

I reserved the first page for everything. There is 25 posts per page. That should give me plenty of space to segregate to different categories. As people post I will add to the respective post on the first page. I don't see any reason to delete any posts because items get logged on the first page,, really no reason to look back. This thread is not meant for discussion only info to log onto the first page. I thought about and wanted to do this for years and this was the most easiest and effective way I could come up with. As time goes on I will have to move stuff around to keep things as neat and organized as possible. This is my little contribution to this great site.

Don't know why the link doesn't work. I've pasted the relevant parts of the webpage into a word document. Is there somewhere I can upload it on the forum? |
