Nobody screwed you,

You lent me a coil-over to use, which you had to dig it out of a storage unit so I did not perceive that there was a supreme urgency to this matter.

I haven't had this item as a top priority as NO-ONE has asked about buying a set except for a guy here, in Santa Rosa, where I live, who offered his up to use as well. Which from the looks of it, I should have taken him up on his offer instead, or just simply bought one of my own off Ebay like I usually do.

You called and left a message,

I didn't call you back yet, in fact, I haven't listened to the message yet, I guess I just assumed it was either you or one of your guys that was delegated to shipping the shock, checking out on progress.

You called again tonight a few minutes after you made your "warning" post,

You, in a huff, asked for your shock back,

and I am sending it back.

You didn't get ripped or slighted in any way,

You can now put it back in your storage unit and the next time we will see it is when Dave Hester bids against Barry Weiss for the contents....

Now, I'm sorry to see that this has turned into a pissing match and, I think, many will be turned off to considering this mod even if it becomes a reality. Here are the facts.

I don't know Steve (GTS) but respect any Viper fan as I was actually looking into one before the Kat. GTS says on 10/11 that he had already rec'd the shock that Larry, in good faith, sent. Everything was ok up to this point.

Then, over 1 month later, there was no response from GTS, which Steve admits. IMO, this is an unreasonable delay and I would feel exactly as Larry does if it were me. I have no dog in this fight, but can say that there is now some ill will amongst all contributors that may not be easy to resolve.

Steve, you were the vendor seeking customers and I think everyone in this thread helped you with the info you requested. So the ball's in your court; your response re: Storage Wars (which I watch every so often) was a little much given that you wanted POA as a potential market for what seems to be a well-designed product.

I just hope that this can be worked out, but from what I know about the many helpful folks at POA, this wasn't the best way to proceed. JMO

I already have the coilovers for your cars developed, the only thing I needed a sample coilover for was to verify the thread on the fork attachment point and measure the length of the coilover off the car.

Out side of that I already have the coilovers, I have 30+ different sizes etc. I developed these same coilovers for the Gen 1 to Gen 4 Vipers as well and have sold many many sets.

The big difference is, is that the viper guys seem to be responding to the mod vs not responding.

30-60 days to develop a product is a very short time, anyone that has actually done product development knows this.

I appreciate Larry forwarding the coilover and I am sending it back to him in the same condition he sent it to me in.

Larry Lord is a long term, highly respected member of this community. I've worked with him on a number of projects and always found him to be reasonable and reliable.

There is a need particularly for the rear assemblies.

Take the time to validate your parts and the installation. Document it, announce your pricing then keep the buyers informed and deliver on your promises. Communicate, don't keep us wondering.

Let's give this a break for a week or so to give Steve a chance to get my shock back to me.

While I'm not happy with his communications, I do hope that Steve is able to come up with some products the group will be interested in.
Let's give him a chance and a little more time to get the shocks ready to ship without stirring the pot any more than it already has been.
There's no reason to do anything but wait at this time.

I'll let everyone know when it gets here.

I was never shown the door on the other site, I'm still a member there, and I can still post there anytime I want. I have just chosen not to frequent it much anymore as I disagree with certain things, but it is not my site, and the owners have the right to run the place as they see fit. I have nothing against any of them it is just a personal decision of mine. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you speak.

Here's what I think.
Mind your own friggin business!
At this time, I'm the only guy with any skin in this game.

Maybe I need to make it simple so you can understand it.
I don't have my parts back and I would like to get them before the actions of a few the members of this site keep me from doing so.

I never said anything about his products, potential products, previous commitments, business accumen or anything eles. All I said was to beware because I have not had satisfactory communications with Steve.

I merely asked for patience for a single week before you or anybody else posted any more remarks.

My first hope is that my issue was an oversight on his part or possibly too high of expectations on my part.
My second hope is also that Steve follows through with his product development and can supply or members with needed, quality parts at a fair price and on time delivery.

I have no way of knowing the future, but I do know that people like you butting in will not help me get my parts back. Steve says my parts will be forthcoming and at this time, I believe him. Please stay out of this for a week or until I post with more information, good or bad..

I have your shock being assembled back to stock form right now, I am sending a UPS waybill to my coilover manufacturer so they can ship it back to you.

In the meantime, if you need a paypal payment or similar for the used coilover I am willing to send one to you.

I appreciate your supplying this coilover, and I understand you wanting to get your property back. I know as I have sent many a sample to many a manufacturer to get quotes and such and it is always a PITA to get your stuff back.

Also send me your paypal address and an amount for your shipping the coilover to me so I can reimburse you for that.
