Here is a car that was sent to me by a young soldier, Nick Giggey, that was to be worked on, a salvage convertible, which he wanted converted to a coupe. The owner, a 24 year old soldier had arranged to pay monthly for the work while he was in Iraq and he was to use his combat pay to do the work.

Well Nick was able to buy a rear bumper and a set of rear quarter panels and then, the worst happened he and a number of his platoon were blown up while diffusing a bomb that had been set outside a dignitary's house. He was injured pretty bad, he now has a 85% disability rating, a number of his friends were killed.

Any of you that know a vet who has been injured also know that the minute they go on the injured list, THE COMBAT PAY STOPS!

I received word from his father a couple of days after the incident and his father said I should stop everything as they did not know what condition Nick was in. I then received an call from Nick from his hospital bed in Germany where he had been shuttled to for numerous surgeries.

Nick said I should stop working on his car, and he was distraught as the thoughts of his car were one of the few things he had that kept him going through his ordeal.

I then Told Nick that I would handle it. I then horse-traded to acquire and when horsetrading didn't work I purchased the $19,000.00+ in parts his car needed, I set up a fundraiser on the Viper Club of America site for Nick to raise money for his paint job. I then convinced my painter friend to give me a $12,000.00 paint job for a little over $6500.00 .

I then invested hundreds of hours of my own personal time, disassembling Nicks car and reassembling, running parts to the painter and back, you name it, everything that had to be done I did, personally, for FREE.

Now the car is back from paint after getting striped, and is scheduled to head home to Colorado to greet Nick for a reunion of sorts, it has been a while since he had his car and I am excited to see it go,

Here are a couple of pics of the finished product and a few progress pics

So as you can see, while I am not answering calls all day long, (even though my cell bill says otherwise) I sometimes have my hands full and can't run to babysit people sometimes as I believe in doing the things that count. And if you leave a message 9 times out of 10 I will return it. I will be the first to admit than sometimes if I need further info from another source in order to respond intelligently it may take the time it takes for me to get a response so that I can respond.

If anyone orders any of the new coil-overs that I developed I will answer the phone if I can if you call, I will return your call, but only once per day, if you phone 8 times, only expect one call back, not 8. I will not accept rush orders, it will take between 10-14 days to get your coil-overs shipped to you from the time you order them, not 4 days, not 2 days, not tomorrow, 10 -14 working days.

So yes, I am a scumbag with a bad reputation and I can live with that as I look at the source of the reputation being spouted off about.

As a Vietnam Veteran you have my sincere thanks and appreciation for doing this.

I've had mine for over a year now with no problems whatsoever. As for ride comfort, I've noticed a bigger difference between stock and these coilovers than the difference of run flats to non run flats if that makes sense. I lowered mine quite a bit and don't have any problem with scraping the nose. Just be careful like any other lowered car. It is possible to keep the car at its stock height if you desire. The adjustments for firmness are very simple to adjust. It's a matter of hand turning a dial. I've got my car lowered so the rear tire sits just under the fender and I love the look.

To be clear, your car now rides softer and more comfortable then it did with stock shocks correct?

I wonder if the OP is still active? I'll send him a PM. Thank you for replying.

I only ask this question as shocks wear out. Coils, for the most part last much longer.
And if gtsr01 goes under I need to know who to contact to replace or rebuild shocks.

These coilovers are manufactured here in America, they use no parts that a shop that rebuilds coilovers cannot source easily if that is your concern.

As a policy, i do not hand out my manufacturer information. The company that makes these for me has been in business for a good dozen years and they look like they will be for another at least another dozen. But, the manufacturer of your stock coilovers is no longer making or supporting them, whether that be Koni or Multimatic depending on the year of your car.

These coilovers come with a lifetime rebuild warranty by my manufacturer and that info is given to those who purchase them.

thanks

I ordered these on Sept 6th. OP has been great to work with. I told him that I didn't feel comfortable sending him a check. He advised me he accepted paypal. This put me at ease. He understood my concerns and put me at ease nor did he rush me off the phone.

The OP sent me a text on 9/10 advising the coilovers are in production and will be in his hands next Friday.
I ordered 2" lower then stock coilover setup in red coils. This setup will allow me to dump the prowler all the way to the ground should I choose to.

Many people don't know that you can get the coils in red, blue, or chrome.

Once I get these in I'll be removing the rear coils and soaking them overnight in PB blaster. I am excited to finally have a better riding prowler.
