http://www.arthritisautoshow.com/ This event seems to get bigger every year. I don't have a lot of planning time, but if there is enough interest I'll go for it. The show is Friday evening and Saturday. This would allow plenty of travel time over the holiday weekend. I was going to contact JEGS catalog and mailorder in Deleware,OH and see if they would provide a tour of their headquarters and race shop. There is plenty to do here to keep us all busy. I'd like to try and get a feel for the interest level. Please let me know ASAP. Regards, Steve ------------------ |

I don't know anyone at Rahal Racing but their office is only about 5 miles away from the carshow site. I could make a cold call to see if they would give us a tour. ------------------ |

Not a problem Dave, they have a class called "future classics" 1990 to present. I could probably make arrangements to have a Prowler class also, as they have agreed to have a PT Cruiser only class. I would consider this too, instead of the PT event in Niagra. Its a long drive from Maine, but it also depends on the scheduling of the Make-A-Wish thing that Sassy posted. I don't know if I can make 3 consecutive road trips between ME and OH/MI within 2 to 3 months. Please keep me posted though. Thanks. ------------------ |

Marty had mentioned Mid Ohio. I am in the process of checking into the possibility of renting the track for a day. This can be done, the question that remains is how much $$$$$? I also have an email into Rahal Motorsports to see if we could arrange a facilities tour. They will be Racing in Canada that weekend, but someone may still be able to provide a tour. As far as the "Make a Wish" event goes, Sassy and I are going to attempt to combine these events. We may look at July 5-6 in Columbus and then take a scenic trip Sunday morning to Toledo (~ 2 hours) for an afternoon show. Everything right now is still very tentative. It looks as though the interest level is high enough to make a go of it. ------------------ |

The track rental fee for an entire day at Mid Ohio is $7500.00. Rather steep. They said that they may be open to a 1/2 day rental, although they have not done this before. I am also considering inviting the VCA along to help hold down the costs per attendee. Check out the track at www.midohio.com and let me know what you think a fair price for admission would be to run laps for 1/2 a day. Perhaps Mike could make this a poll question. ------------------ |

I'm definitely going to pull this off. The event will be held in Dublin, Ohio July 5th and 6th. I will have the details posted by the end of the week. I need to get a feel for the number of Hotel rooms required. Please post below if you are able to attend. ------------------ |

Steve - Dad and I will definately be coming to Columbus for your cruise and tour. I assume the "Dublin Inn" will be open. Come on Kat lovers - Columbus is a great town - lots of things to see and do. |

Hey im with Ron and Sue Clark there are many good things to see and many good places to go. Even though I am probally not gonna be able to go but I'd like to hear alot about it and how you guys had alot of fun so come on a go even if u have to go for just the day steve will make shure you have a good time while you are out there.
