Someone mentioned that they did not receive any literature on the Dell's but I can't remember who it was. Anyhow, I have an extra that I can send out to anyone that hasn't gotten one. |

quote: Geno - we are still working on our plans. The problem is that Lethia is going to start working for a new employer in April,,,and it is difficult to dictate requested vacation time off. We are thinking of going to Casper, Wy. first to visit Lethia's parents, then early on July 17th, take off for the Dells = 800 mile drive, so I wouldn't be in until late sunday night. We will probably have to leave early on the 22nd, to get her back to work the following week. I need to call for my room reservation soon,,,,hopefully next to Ed, Tangled, and you so I can harass everyone. I just don't want a common wall between my room and Larry's,,,,,,Cookie will be banging the headboard all night long, |

Okay, we have been able to move some things around and will be coming to Wisconsin. We have family in Toledo and will be combining a trip home with the event. Plan is to drive the motorhome and trailer the Kat. Need to find a trailer now. Oh boy. See you in the Dells. Guy, Christine, 4 kids and a nanny. |

Guy will you be staying in the motorhome or getting rooms? I'm sure we can help in any case. ------------------ |

We booked the "Luxury Suite" at the resort for the week. Need to give the nanny her own room and this was cheaper than booking two regular rooms. I figure 6,000 miles in the motorhome will be enough for me. |

Guy you booked the room in the corner of the building next to the place we are parked! Hope you are not a light sleeper? Jerry gets a little loud at 3 in the morning. ------------------ |

Bob, We will just have to put the twins' cribs right by the open window. That noise is sure to drown out even the loudest Kat out there! |

User fees and state taxes provide most of the money for operating Wisconsin state parks, forests, and trails. The fees include vehicle admission stickers, state trail passes, and camping fees. Admission Stickers Buy your sticker in advance or when you get to the park. Annual stickers for 2005 are available now and are valid from date of purchase through December 31, 2005. 2005 sticker fees * Half-price annual stickers are available for additional vehicles registered to the same household address.
As info............................... Looking into a 'side trip' to Devils Lake state park, minutes from where we are.... hiking, beautiful trails, gorgeous lake, etc. Interested? I will continue looking into it. Don't know if all are interested, with the 'out of state plates' fees.... Input please... |

That didnt quite tabulate the way I'd have liked... oh well.. it's a $10 daily fee for out of state plates. specific info on Devil's Lake State Park... At Devil’s Lake State Park, 500-foot quartzite bluffs tower above a 360-acre lake. Spectacular scenery, a full range of recreational activities, and a full-time naturalist make this a very popular park. The 9,117-acre state park is 2 miles south of Baraboo and about 30 miles north of Madison. More people visit Devil’s Lake State Park annually—1.2 to 1.4 million—than any other state park in Wisconsin. Peak visitation is during the late spring, summer and fall, when visitors can swim in or boat on the clear, 360-acre spring fed lake. The park is a unit of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve. Federal Golden Eagle, Golden Age and Golden Access Passports (exit DNR) as well as Wisconsin state park admission stickers are honored. Holders of National Parks passports receive a waiver of the vehicle admission fees, but camping fees are not affected. Devil's Lake also has a segment of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail (exit DNR). Devil's Lake has 29.9 miles of trails, all of which are open for hiking in spring, summer, and fall. There's a 1-mile interpretive nature trail and 1.5 miles of trail that are accessible for people with disabilities There is a boat launch at each end of the lake. Boats and canoes may be rented at the park's concession. Life preservers are required for all boats, including rubber rafts. There are two beaches totaling 3,300 feet in length, each with a bath house. Lifeguards are not provided. SCUBA diving is popular. Diving flags are required. There are picnic areas at both ends of the lake. Two enclosed shelters and three open air shelters are available for rental. Reservations are accepted starting the first working day after January 1 each year. Nearly 100 species of birds, close to half the total in Wisconsin, nest in the park and 880 plant species grow in the park. Wisconsin's oldest state natural area, Parfrey's Glen, is in the southeast corner of Devil's Lake State Park. It is a special and fragile place with unique plants, animals, and geology. The area is open only from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors must stay on the designated trail. Pets, food, beverages, fires, and camping are prohibited. Motor vehicles are not allowed beyond the parking lot off Highway DL. |

Just made our reservations this afternoon, and was told only two rooms are left at this time. Anyone thinking of coming better make up your mind, as they say, you snoze you lose. Got to get back to the kitchen to make up a new batch of JELLO SHOOTS for this event. |
