Just reading the posts on this thread I saw Larry Mayes got a 2 for 1 special at the Holiday Inn Airport in Milwaukee, I had already booked a room their but was not given the deal so I called and guess what now I do! To get the promotional deal you have to ask for it and you also will not get a ticket for the continental breakfast ( If I remember right as a Priority Club Member all I have to do is show them my card ) Thanks Larry & Sue! |

Regarding the "Prowler Friendly Magazine" (STREET THUNDER) coverage of the Hot Rod Power Tour... The following is a question I asked Scott Parkhurst, the Editor of STREET THUNDER Magazine... "Are you attending or planning to feature this year's Power Tour in one of your STREET THUNDER future issues?"
Power Tour is run by a competing magazine- We won't be promoting their event. You could send me some snapshots of well-modified Prowlers for consideration. I'm looking for a nice mix of form and function. A high performance Prowler with tasteful restyling would make me happy, especially if no other mag would see it before I do. How's that? Thanks for the note and the encouragement. I appreciate your support! SP~! Simple... he wants some Prowler pictures for consideration in future STREET THUNDER issues, even before the Power Tour. Therefore, I suggest that all you Kat Owners with a "high performance Prowler with tasteful restyling" get some pictures on the way to Scott ASAP... LEAVES ME OUT, but I know there are lots and lots of you that easily qualify. Additionally, during the Power Tour, especially you Long Haulers, PLEASE take lots and lots of pictures as a group for consideration in future "club" features. See y'all there, Jay This message has been edited by YELLER CAT on 03-31-2005 at 07:27 PM |

Hey - we would sure like for a lot more of you to join us for Power Tour. You don't have to do the whole trip. Just meet us at one of the stops and cruise for a day or two if you can. Think about how cool it will be to cruise with THOUSANDS of hot rods, muscle cars, street rods, and performance vehicles. |

Marty... time is drawing near for one of the Greatest Hot Rodding Events of all times and Prowlers are welcome to participate... this is going to be FUN, FUN, FUN. I have never participated in such a HUGE, moving event as this, but after reviewing every video produced on the tour, I have learned that the "official" participants leave at different times... stopping along the way at different times... arriving at that day's "official" event site at different times. I can only assume that when arriving at the "official" site, each participant will be parked in the order of arrival and not by vehicle type. Therefore, I have made preliminary arrangements for a rendezvous (staging area) where all Prowlers will meet prior to joining the "official" site area planned activities. This will get us organized into a caravan to the "official" site area, allowing us to park together. Regardless of when you join the tour... where you are staying... when you arrive... if you are a long hauler or not, this rendezvous and times should be observed as to arrive @ the "official" activities together. There is strength in numbers not to mention the "wow" factor of so many Beautiful Prowlers all together. The Florida Kat Pack has tentatively secured a site in Tallahassee and Orlando for these rendezvous near the "official" Power Tour activities. Additionally, there is a planned rest, food and fuel stop in Ocala @ the Don Gartlis Drag Racing Museum. I have learned that some of the Florida Kat Pack Members will be joining us in Ocala rather than Tallahassee due to work schedules. REMINDER... REMINDER... REMINDER... if you are planning to participant in ANY portion of this monumental automotive event, please let Marty know so he can add you to the list. Our total Prowler count is important as we are seeking some National Press Coverage for this Prowlin' Adventure. What do you think??? Should I finalize these Prowler rendezvous areas in Tallahassee and Orlando??? Let me know ASAP. THANKS, Jay |

That would be a good idea Jay as the first leg and the last leg of the Power Tour has the most cars, I would not be surprised to see 3500 cars on the last leg. ------------------ |

Talked to the Tour Coordinator on the phone. Said confirmations will be sent email and/or by letter in 2 to 3 weeks. Also said at that time the route will be released to the public. So keep your eyes and ears open around the middle of May for some updated and long awaited information. They had better as it will be here before you know it. |

CONFIRMED... there will be 3 Prowler rendezvous in Florida for everyone's convenience... Tallahassee, Ocala and Orlando. The exact locations and times will be announced ASAP which will be coordinated with all the "Official" Hot Rod Power Tour activities. For those Florida Kats unable to join us in Tallahassee, please make your plans to join up with us in Ocala or Orlando... the more the merrier!!! As soon as the "Official" routes are announced, some of the Florida Kat Pack Members will drive the route seeking the best fuel stops remembering our 12 gallon fuel capacity and the rather erratic fuel gages many Kats have. Additionally some car wash sites will be considered too... nobody wants to go Prowlin' in a dirty Kat. Anything else? The Florida Kat Pack is ready to assist every Kat Owner participating in the Florida portion of this year's Hot Rod Power Tour... just let us know how we may assist. THANKS, Jay PS... don't forget to let Marty know that you are attending regardless of where you plan to join us. |

Heads up to the folks attending the Hot Rod run to Florida. One of our folks has purchased a trailer in Louisiana and needs to get it to Havehill, Ma. aka. jkprowlin. The request is under help in shipping a trailer. Any help in towing his trailer from Louisiana to Florida then up to his location would be a blessing. Please contact him if you are willing to help is this case of trailer tag |
